Just to put this one to bed:

 The famous duo of mighty Bismarck-class battleships – the one and only Bismarck and her sister-ship Tirpitz, the “monster from the Fjords”. Both will be occupying their rightful spots at Tier VIII; the former as a standard vessel and the latter being a premium ship.

Yeah but some details have bad quality due to low graphics that's what i meant ^^

+ armor layout that is decent against direct fire

+ high speed

+ fast turrets

+ high RoF

+ good secondaries.

 

- armor layout lackluster at best against plunging fire

- bad turning

- bad AA

- 15in guns might not be quite as punchy as the 16in ones used by other T8s

- lackluster accuracy

 

Conclusion: A definite brawler of a BB that wants to engage at shorter range to bring her RoF and belt armor into the fight. Really bad news for cruiser captains. But has to be played with serious situational awareness, as bad turning and bad AA render her vulnerable to air attack and the good secondaries alone won't keep DDs away - then again fast turrets and high RoF on the primaries might help with the latter.

It actually makes sense to have Tirpitz as 'thie' premium German ship, Tirpitz is afterall the better more upto date ship of the two, after the Bismarck calamity Tirpitz was refitted and updated, the whole stern of the ship redesigned and rebuilt, particularly reinforced Rudder mounts, if i remember right Tirpitz actually ended up a little bigger than Bismarck once all that was done, Tirpitz also had torps, Bismarck didn't.

 

But there is also H39 of the Z-Plan, a colossal ship laid down and partially built before being scrapped for U-Boat materials.

 

Also, it doesn't make any sense to have either of these ships Over Powered, its not a game if that happens.

At the moment you can't buy any of them. We know Tirpitz will be premium so she'll be in the premium shop, hopefully before the launch of the tree itself.

Bad analogy, Tiger tank should never have been a tier VII tank but rather a tier Vi where it really belongs and WG had to come up with a complete fantasy build with a KwK 43 that in reality could not fit into the turret due to both size and to turret balance issues just to make it a viable tank on tier VIII and IX where it is really out of its league on both tiers.

 

By the looks of it the Bizmarck class will be inferior to both USS North Carolina and IJN Amagi class due to it's abyssmal gun dispersion but time only will tell if that will be the case obviously.

Better yet, I can't wait to see all the angry and rage once people find how underwhelming the BB class as a whole are and especially at higher tiers. I forsee a lot of "WHY DO CRUISERS KILL ME SO EASY" and "I CAN'T HIT ANYTHING" followed by "HIGH TIER CVs INSTA KILL ME".

About the same as North Carolina and Iowa (271 and 272 respectively), which also both have similar max range. And those are not exactly inaccurate ships as far as BBs go.

No, the Tirpitz is premium. The other ships are only "premium" because they where used at Gamescom with only a single configuration available and not embedded into the german tech tree yet.
