Sheesh, loyal customers these days always ask for handouts, don't they? No you will grind and pay the price of a full new game for the use of a prim ship. Back in line with you...

Btw, what do you mean by 22cm?

Na server has their own community managers and their own events.

Nothing happening there is guaranteed to happen here as well. In fact in most of cases it wont.

We have our own events .

See and i always thought you are just a clone from the US Team after all those Copy Paste events we got so far. :P/sarcasm

Similiar =/= same~

as mentioned, E3 is predominantly American expo, hence the offer goes only for the american server. We have a rather great expo coming in as well (gamescom) so you can expect some special offers, though not necessarily connected to the external partners - so just wait and see, gamescom ain't that far away :)

Which raises the interesting question as to why on earth Wargaming treats people in different communities so vastly different. You know, most of the time it just pisses people off because they know about it.

Oh, the special offers are here.... wohoo.... how... freakingly underwhelming

https://eu.wargaming.net/shop/wows/

Seriously, does someone want to buy that? And is there actually any saving compared to buying ingame gold and convert it to what has been cobbled together there?

Lulz.

This does pretty much sum up what I thought when I saw those 'special offers'.

WG, really? That's it? It's not like had expected a 90% discount on ships but seriously? You cobbled together some basically random stuff and that's it?

If you enter the code nothing you get exactly that :P

I bet its due to all the EU staff enjoying them selfs at gamescom and to "busy" to do anything :P

Not only that, but they actually have 2 Warspite packages, one with the usual WG extra-crap and more expensive, and one without, cheaper.

We get loads of things. Those "special offers" that would cost about the same if you just buy the gold and convert them. And who ever play high tier have a honour to have the chance to play with people at GC that have no idea what to do with their high tier ships.

Which just points out the ludicrousness of having uncoordinated, apparently rivaling, communities and managers... Would it be that bad to enable the same offers for all communities instead of needlessly having several seperated communities who envy the offers in other communities?

Yep it's like the game is hosted by different companies the way they do events and it seems all the other community managers are in touch with the needs/wants of their community, but ours... well we all know

I know this kind of behavouir first hand from other companies, but those ususally don't have their business on the Internet. In this case, it's just so totally not understandable for me. Having had a few classes in economics, it even looks as a waste of time and money, as another way of doing things would be a lot faster, more consistend towards the customers and thus create a more positive view on Wargaming as a company.

1) Have one guy deciding on premium shop offers for everybody and offer them at the same time to everbody, though at their respective currency rating. This way Wargaming would still make the same money and people would stop yelling at them for not offering X to everybody. Sure, people could still complain the vastly different pricing across the premium shop but since they have a monopoly, it's their choice anyway and people have known that ever since Wargaming (or other companies of that kind) came up.

2) Release news in all those different languages you cater for simultaneously. This way, there'll be a lot less discussion and more importantly, community managers and mods and WG people in general will have a consistent knowledge of what news there is. Which is a hell of a lot preferable over the current state where people look to the Russian page for news and more often than not post them here before WG EU catches up.

3) Hire people with people skills. Seriously, mods need to be extremely careful about what they write and how they write it. My little Russian implies to me that many forms of politeness in English or German are not ususally used or known in Russian and a native Russian speaker might thus come across rather rude when he writes in another language. C1 knowledge of the second language should be the minimum. It might even be better to hire native speakers instead who can speak Russian as a second language.
