There are better ships to stat pad.... CV maybe from start of open beta due to all the players zoomed in and not able to turn there ship tell its to late.... but thats not CV OP more of players that dont under stand the game. and ive seen a change as players start to listen on the best ways to combat torps.

I got my WR up via fun games with the Umikaze. and the omaha is a great support ship and play well against a lot higher tier ships. (i am not high WR player but if i wanted to stat pad up there i would not use the CV to do it)

So answer me one question kiddo.

Oh we have lowered to childish insults.

Sorry mate, I cant take you seriously now not even a little bit.  I just cant stop laughing.

Come back when you have same WR and other stats comparable with your CVs.

Until then you are just a joke, lying and justifying obvious nonsense.

Bye!

I used to have 76% WR with my Kinugasa in the early days mainly because there weren't much experienced players around when CBT started. It has come down to 58% now that tier VI is more populated by people who's gotten experience in other branches and are trying new ones. If those 26 games would have been done near the start of OBT well, it would invaliate your point.

Houmer:

Comparing stats like that is BS... that is like saying that medium tanks in WoT are OP because they can get higher average damage and winrate values than light tanks. Each class will have different "expected" damage values and every class will have different chance to influance result of the battle.

Imo CVs desperately need that MM change and also removal of strike decks from IJN T5-T8 should normalise the gameplay. I don't see a reason to argue about this crap until we see results of these changes. The only other thing that should be changed is probably exp modifier for CVs, because their CV income is way higher than it should be. However I disagree that T10 CVs are OP, they might seem OP now, but more than half of the battles is Atago hunting time.

So you dont know answer and you trying to hide it behind insults. Another clueless bob found.

@OVanBruce.

At start I rushed CV ofc. So was grinding and getting to fight vs  Papi/Sharana/Azell/Lein and some others CV players. ^^ then I took break after that marathon for like 2-3 weeks. Now Im back and start grinding CA for AA duty in high tiers. After that will go for BB for fun;p

I didn´t find the WR table of each class which would be more proving.

No other class will enable you extra high WR even when you master it.

Balanced? Sure (learn game mechanics!).

Feel free to post awesome BB/CA/DD players that already reached T10 and maintain 70%+ WR.

Nope? Possible only in CV? Balanced? Sure. (because you didnt learn game mechanics!)

Dunno how you want to balance it to keep feel of getting rewarded for your efforts. When I torp Yamato I feel sad not rewarded for my effort. Because hitting enemy with 8-9 torps with perfect drop and you see like 35k dmg and he regen 10k from it is far from rewarding in my book.

EDIT

Ignore clueless Homer bob. He doesnt understand mechanic behind XP so its pointless to explain to him why carrier take more xp per battle then any other class in this game.

No, but taking out lonely CAs or DDs, specially DDs, give you much more experience than that.

Actually Vulgarny's stats are overall very good and with CVs you just have the luck to get rewarded if your target is plain stupid aka sailing in a straight line

I found these from that older reddit post based on leaked SEA statistics

average values

damage dealt by each class as percentage from team total (by tier)

And same for top 10% of players

I've also seen more detailed statistics for each ship, but cannot find them now, feel free to post them...

Bingo. Add that reward system to reach and burst dmg (dmg delivery system of carrier) and you got reason why carrier got so much better xp. High tier BB also got partially same delivery system so that why gap in XP in high tiers is smaller then on lower tiers.  Win ratio is high because of ability to tip the balance when you needed in matter of 2-3 minutes unlike any other ship class

I know how exp system works, but it plays exactly into the hands of carrier players. Either other ship classes should get +exp modifier, or CV should get -exp modifier because right now no other class can reach same average exp values like carriers due to how this exp-reward system works.

They could lower it by 50%. But remember that for every Good CV players you will find 5 or even 10 terrible ones.

Come on,wont u guys stop moaning about cvs? The main reason cvs are so hated is that when u get hit by torps or bombs, the enemy is not there for you to hit him back. And because you have to manouvre to avoid being hit which throws off your aim and maybe makes you vulnerable to other nearby vessels. If cvs where so good then why don't you play them?in wot blitz i always choose to keep a tank that's best in its tier. My only complain with cvs is that bomb damage is too low, killing fighters doesnt pay and that you can't really fly the planes alla battlestations midway &pacific. Also on a 1 on 1 with a dd or cruiser you re as good as gone. And i dont care about the elite players here.im talking about your average jo. That's from a new player who ENJOYS cvs bbs & cas

So I have to explain it huh? Go issue multiple move orders on different positions in a short amount of time. You will most likely lose control of the selected unit and it will switch to carrier.

It is caused because if you issue orders fast there is a chance you will create very very small selection box. When there is nothing selected in the selction box, game either selects carrier or selects nothing, Which depends on if you have a lock button near your main ship icon pressed.

No, I am not talking about selectors of angle of approach (DB, TB). You can change center of attack aso by click and drag. Sector to do it is at the center of the drop. if you will want to issue manual order near that region, most likely you will experience game ignoring your correction.

If you were not sure what I was talking about, it would be prefarable to stop yourself from giving me advices.

I only rarely have this problem. I have a very expensive and accurate mouse at very high DPI (I play at 5500 DPI which most people find utterly unusable on a very small area). As a result, I have a lot of practice on tiny mouse movement/clicking. I guess that helps. If you're less practised, you could have this problem if you don't remember to lock your carrier selection default off. I would not recommend this as an advice unless you actually plan to relearn your mousing habits. I had to when I switched to this configuration, though it was ultimately helpful in many games as it enabled both very accurate and very fast movement without any major hand movement being necessary for it.

It also helps that I generally don't spend much looking at targeting cones. I'm used to playing smite with smart casting on, which means that my skill shot targeting time is minimal and very much reflexive.

As for "game ignoring your drop course correction" it doesn't actually do that without reason. There are two potential reasons: one is about directional angles of the aircraft becoming too steep to complete your adjustment. If you remember to track the direction of each squad shown by the arrow under it, you'll be able to predict turn trajectory and when you can/cannot make the course correction very quickly. Other being drop range, planes have a very specific "dead zone" before they execute the command which locks the current direction. It's not immediately visible and something that needs training. I tend to avoid giving last moment course corrections, so I rarely run into this issue.

I don't recall ever getting it in a situation where I wasn't clearly my fault for miscalculating either trajectory or dead zone for drop.

Planes do sometimes make steeper turns than usual and behave a bit oddly in the terminal phase before dead zone, which is why I came to prefer setting direction early and only correcting if I actually did fail to account for enemy direction badly. That's usually only against DDs. Anything bigger is usually utterly predictable. And I almost never attack DDs with TBs, so it's not much a problem for me.

Btw, first day when I had to play two games to get daily win on CV today. Now all planes are upgraded, ship and flight mode still isn't.

shot-15.08.11_01.13.17-0151.jpgshot-15.08.11_01.13.22-0847.jpgshot-15.08.11_01.33.31-0711.jpgshot-15.08.11_01.33.34-0115.jpg

Defeat speaks for itself. I wish I had those kinds of defeats on other ships. Win was completely my fail all the way. I was trying to figure out the exact range of torpedo drops and as a result dropped three of them too close. I think I mostly got a handle on the minimum range now after this kind of testing, but it shows in my score.

Didn't help that friendly bogue let independence rape my aircraft in early game pretty badly either, mostly focusing on his torpedo bombers. Gotta say, ammo capacity on upgraded zuiho fighters can really mess with your ability to harass, since sometimes RNG just tells you that you won't have enough ammo to kill a single 6 aircraft squad before you're out of ammo. I'm considering switching back to stock fighters.

TBH for the sake of fairness something should be done to adress this issue. It feels truly strange when my CV stats top so easily my cruiser stats even when I've played CVs relatively few times. It's true though that I did play RTS a lot in the past, not as much as some of the present here I'm sure, but right now I literally play CVs mindlessly, specially Ryuujou which I've never played in strike setup and almost allways manage to run out of planes on her because I do fire and forget tactics not even caring about losing my planes to AA or enemy fighters most of the time.

Maybe I'm just bad playing cruisers... still love then though.

Dude you are flying 4 squads. Try to control 7 in 3 different places at same time.

Edit

The same system is the reason why DD and CA doesnt lag far behind in XP comparing to BBs

Is it supposed to be hard? I'm genuinely confused. Pretty much anyone playing RTS like starcraft needs to be able to micromanage a whole lot more even on basic level. Starcraft 2 even has training scenarios to specifically teach you how to do it. Squads are singular units in this game. The only difference here is that it's all skill shots if you drop manually like I do. But if you played LoL/Smite to any reasonable degree, that is unlikely to pose a problem for you.

And with all the downtime of slow travel across larger maps, you rarely need to manage more than one drop location at a time anyway.

Seen these as well but couldnt find them. Thanks.

But "OP CV is a lie" story continues in minds of those who dont want to lose their easy damage. Story with WoT arty was the same actually. Result? WG made arty heavily RNG based and ruined it for everyone, even for arty players. Now CV players should give up their "CVs are fine" nonsense and help with proper balancing or in the end CV gameplay will be totally ruined for them as well.

Also thinking that 25k damage dealt to Yamato compared to 0 damage taken and no risk invested is not rewarding enough? The mind boggles.

As "dont sail in a straight line" and "CVs are weak at close range" goes I have taken one replay from today. Had the same thing with Atago, Pensacola, North Carolina. Doesnt matter. 300m grid drop, border sliding and enormous number of attacks are still the same. Also note that attacking squadrons were 90% of time marked with CTRL but replay doesnt show this for some reason. Fun fact: have both AA skills on every captain I own.

In return I would love to see replays from CV players where they successfully own 1vs1 skilled CV  player with their BB/CA/DD (if they dare to play any of those sometimes).

Havent seen those on Youtube and would love to learn how to do it because I clearly suck at this.

Thank you.
