Between 30k and 40k players and this MM, and i will post every days screenshots to prove that the MM is NOT working as intented

Nothing wrong at all, in fact there is a post by Sharana about mm which shows in detail tier spread, dont know whether its on a wiki somewhere but its about time people looked first and moaned later

Really? You are complaining about this show of MM? Yesterday, I was in a division with 2 friends who needed to grind tier 4's, I was in the Myogi, one in a Wyoming and the other in a Kuma. Ok, press 'Battle'....... we were on TS together and collectively we all went 'what???' ended up on North against tier 7 ships, ship happens!

Yes, the MM sucks. Yes the devs are in denial...about a lot of things. No this thread will not make them listen. What do you think this is? RUS forums?

After ~900 battles in CBT/OBT I really thought, 5 DD on one side is hardcap... I was proven wrong, aperently...

Right... First screenshot doesn't even have teams with equal numbers of ships....nothing wrong with that.

 

That's why I don't even bother to play random battles. The PvP MM is broken every second game.

Unfortunately, this Clemson was the first to die... my team noobed that out quite thoroughly... you just cannot win them all...

thats mostly due to fact that they were top tier platoon, platoon is "punished" here a lot

also you have two capital ships, thats another "-"

i suggest you to read something about matchmaking weight for each ship, it works on same basis as in wot

once there will be more players here , i am 100% sure that you will see only full teams battles

I am not entirely sure that carrier MM should allow for a)a 2 vs 1 situation and b) a tier difference. Air superiority in either form, provided the carrier players are even semi-competent, will invariably tip the game in the team's favour. Larger, more numerous and/or more powerful fighter squadrons will make quick work of the single CVs combat capabilities.

When I am observing my own battles, and what is shown here, I get more and more the impression, that Carrier + DD platoons can severely mess up the MM process...

Dude, there are 30.000-40.000 players. How many more do we need to get a proper matchmaking? It's a crap excuse.

 

It's simply badly coded, there is no point denying that. WG needs to sort its stuff out.

Frankly if you have read any posts on WoT then you know the devs repeatedly use the the phrase "working as intended" to describe the awful thing that is MM in that game and now it seems in this one.

I just cannot see why WG cannot produce a MM that actually is fair, feels fair and gives everyone at the start of the battle an equal chance to win.

The truth I feel is that they could do it but simply couldn't care less, and WoWs will just become another arcade blastfest that pleases either the uber player who can turn any battle because they are just that good or the brain dead who don't notice or care when they lose ten games in a row because of the MM. I have played about ten battles tonight and would say that at least one third of those were not balanced by ships. And none of them were balanced by ability.

It is really awful that WG will produce something that is close to a gaming work of art and then let their awful MM smear excrement all over it.

Had a game today with mostly teir 8/9 ships, I was in a Warspite (T6?) and not in a platoon, no idea why I was matched up but i'm guessing it was because the enemy team has a platoon with a Langley (Teir 4 carrier).. Our carrier was MassiveD in his teir 9 Essex carrier... 

I survived the match (Which I didn't think I would) and we won thanks to some fantastic cruiser players that stuck by me as we pushed the east flank together in unison, but it didn't feel like a fun match because or our carrier completely outclassing theirs.

 

That being said it was their fault for making a division with two T8 ships and a T4 carrier, and not a fault of the matchmaker.. Still i'm not sure how I got dragged into the battle lol.

I'd like to confirm that matchmaking seems to have some logical issues.

 

Was in a division with two friends (we were in tier III / IV) -> We got thrown repeadetly into tier VII games, the other side lowest tier was V. Needless to say, we were so on the low end, that we got obliterated quite fast.

This strange MM started after we sat in the queue for 5(+) mins without getting into a battle - before this event, everything was fine with the mm.

"Working as intended" should be replaced with "designed to artificially control your win rate to a statistical norm". Therefore, sadly, any mm examples you post are "working as intended"....
