Yubari is broken.

This was my first ship and i was happy with her.With little practice i was able make good runs.Not to bad but not very outstanding ship, you must very cautius with her because your fragile and have very low hp.

After two weaks the ship is unplayable.After the first shoot my engine is always blow up, not common with other moduls blow up either.After repair the next enemy shoot kill the engine again.Yesterday i lost my engine vour times in one battle !!!!!!!

Seriusly this is too much!!!!!!! What f... happened with this ship? I see she has some hidden nerf sure because Yubari was not that bas ship 2 weeks ago.When WG nerfed this ship(prety sure) ,WG can give back our money or give her price back in gold.

 

I see the other topic : Yubari need buff, but i write this,because the constans engine modul damage the ship unplayable, Yubari not only need some obvius buff but also complet rework on her combat hitbox..

A tip in the yubari is to NOT get shot. You outrange most ships at that tier and that range allows you to wiggle and avoid enemy fire.

This game is about ships shooting each other. Somebody will you shoot and without your engine youre dead in Yubari.

And dont you see the top picture? I have some serious battles with Yubari and she not suffered with this many moduldamage.

Have you YUbari too, try play with her today, you will sell her, i guarantee.

As stated above: I find staying at range and dodging is the key. See the results of a battle a couple of days ago when I was in stella dodging mode.

 

It was loads of fun and quite profitable.

Of course they got me in the end ... and we lost, which seems depressingly common for this ship atm.

Martaloc: on the screens, you are way too close to the enemy. Get this close only if you want to launch torpedoes, otherwise you should stay at range and spray HE at everything. I have 60k avg dmg in Yubari doing this...

The only way to play the Yubari, and win is this way. Stay well back!  Protect your carrier (if he is any good).  Ships that get through to you are usually easy prey, and not on full health. It has very good range. Rain HE on everything at range.

 

My last game was an epic one. Stayed well back, stopped DD's and torpedo bombers getting to our CVs. I killed a DD at extreme range with plunging fire, Wrecked a BB, with fires, sank another DD as he raced to kill our carriers. Then it was me, a BB and the two carriers vs two BB, two cruisers, and two carriers, we lost the BB to their carriers, I got another cruiser, and a carrier, and with 5 seconds on the clock got the last carrier. Five kills and 350K credits :)

 

yeah.....your role is support in the Yubari. If you brawl, you are dead. The Atlanta plays well this way too.

I agree with you but is also true that since the open beta, the Yubari gets damadge with criticals hits much more. It seems that every time you get hit, you get one critical. :(

yup, yesterday my engine died 3 times in a row in a matter of a few minutes while trying to run away and dodging from a phoenix. could dodge a lot, but when he hit it was bad news...first two times my repair was up quickly enough, but the last one followed too quick. If someone hunts you, you are pretty much done for.

Apart from the ridiculous module damage the ship is fine.

I too find the Yubari a frustrating ship to play and suffer from the engine break so much as when you sneeze at it.

With other tier 4 cruisers having hydroacoustic search now I feel less useful than before since the AA still feels lacking. When escorting battleships of tier 4 bombers manage to come and go with nary a scratch in their paint before leaving the DPS bubble. I feel like saying "out range everyone" is a too easy deflection of peoples opinions and conclusions since you have long travel time and only 4 guns in two turrets and that's not mentioning the travel time. A buff would be appreciated.

Played another game yesterday in Yubari just to get that extra 3x for captain... 72´k dmg and 3 kills, so broken.

Since one of my mates is playing Langley ATM, I'm taking the Yubari and he baits me some good Fighters and bombers.

 

Problem comes when I must fight another ship: Engines broke all the time, even with the -20% chance of critical damage.

It's like any hit will break them at 100% chances, and so the module lower it to 80%...

Cherry picking games is not really a way to represent a ship either way, good or bad. A good player can make any "bad" ship look good but ships aren't balanced for the top tier of players, they're balanced for a larger player base closer to a 50% win rate or the likes. So getting a good game in a bad ship doesn't mean it doesn't deserve some rebalancing nor does it deserve to say "Look at my high EXP game, it's so broken am I right guys?" in a sarcastic way.

I finally found a use for the Yubari. Farming "Juliet Charlie" flags for having your magazine detonate. Got almost 100 of them now! :teethhappy:

93k dmg and 1791 base-experience... Is shell damage also multiplied by 3 during gamescon?

Yubari is a fine ship but I will fully agree the engine damage is ridiculous right now. I've been running the modification for less engine crits basically from the start now and at least 4 times I've had my engine shot, fixed it and immediately shot again. At least 2 of those times I then got my engine shot again immediately after fixing it when the repair ability became available again. It doesn't affect the performance TOO much (well I suppose it gets you killed everytime you take return fire) but it's very very frustrating.

 

Besides the engine there's no issues whatsoever and it's a fine ship. After 26 battles I've won 69% (18) with 47k average damage which is only slightly worse than what I have on the Kuma.

The Yubari used to be my favorite ship in closed beta. Now, I still like it, but most of the time it´s just too frustrating to play.

The whole ship seems to be made out of just critical hit locations. I also installed the -20% engine crit module, but that only seems to bring that down from 120% to 100% engine crits...

Last game, I got my engine knocked out 4 times (in additon to a critical hit to the rudder, my forward main gun and the AA gun)

 

Historically, the Yubari had above average armor for a light cruiser of her size, unfortunately, in the game, it´s quite the opposite.
