As in you processor is too old/isn't powerful enough I'm guessing.

I'm in a similar position I get decent fps most of the time (60 if not more) but when stuff starts happening, I zoom in etc. I get major framerate drops and lag. Largely because I'm guessing my old Duo core ain't up to it.

Agreed.

Hoping that a lot more optimisation is still to take place, but I won't be holding my breath.

I have an AMD processor. Everything was working fine up until a couple of weeks ago then late one night it just started lagging and has been terrible ever since

Last night no porblem but this afternoon my ship just froze fro 30s to 1 minute. Can turn guns, fire them or torps but no motion of ship. Very frustrrating when you are in a DD trying to sneak up on someone.

Exactly thing what was happend to me..And to be honest,i unnistaled game, since i smashed my mouse and keyboard. After sending numerous emails to "specialists" of this game,i gave up.And by looks,i will not install in any resent time. Its obvios that they are making difference betwen us,ppl who have older pc cant play game.We can only watch on youtube. As i could play game, its ok,ships are good.but talking about game graphics is way above my league.

So we are talking about fps (frames per second) issues and not lag, right?

Lag = internet connection problem

fps = hardware maxed out for current game, producing poor fps

well I have intel and amd computers ranging from dual core to quad core and radeon hd 5000 series or higher and 4gb ram And Windows 10 and there all showing a steady fps and ping I'm able to aim and fire guns but the ships are stationary for upto a minute at a time its really annoying is this going to be a game for super computers or are they going to make it playable for computers that can play world of tanks and world of warplanes

I started to experience lag myself the last couple of days.

I have a core2duo processor but never had problems with lagg in open beta - why now? - more players?:(

Fps drops from 40 to 6 then to 30 then 16 and the lag indicator in the top left corner lights up.

No problems in wot though.

You can get graphical lag (latency) where the host PC is incapable of writing the frames quick enough resulting in 'lag'.

It would be good if you can supply specifications for your PC via the dxdiag report.

How to acquire your dxdiag report.

Good point but I play for 2 mounths now and never happend before so I don't think the pc is to blame.

Well that is just priggishness. In most scenarios, lag is related to connection and fps to computer.

Priggishness? That is a new one! I was being exact in saying lag does not always relate to your internet connection but sometimes solely with your own PC specifications. I would stop being so sensitive as some people always relate lag to connection and do not understand it sometimes does not. All I was trying to do was help. Have a good weekend....

yes priggishness. I also said "in most scenarios" not all. Which means in many cases, lag is mostly related to network and fps issues to pc hardware. Surely games that are capped at 30 / 40fps, should give you no lag problems at all. I also just found this article here. Which explains lag vs fps quite good http://www.howtogeek.com/142193/htg-explains-why-lag-and-low-fps-arent-the-same-thing/

But anyways good weekend.
