greater than the "said" 3 seconds

Not as i suggested :P ...  bad reading ? so i put it in greater letters, bold .... it should be GREATER than actual 3 seconds, which obviously allow absurd torp bombers behavior. That's what i said and think (which doesnt mean i'm right, ofc).

Still broken, still a no risk support class that can do absurd damage, still got tie fighters not actual aircraft, still got torpedo bombers that bear zero resemblance to the real things. Oh and still the same old abusers defending their broken class.

What a shock that the high damage replay contests were won by high tier carriers, oh wait no that was 100% completely predictable.

Dear forum warrior, before answering something that is close to "what you want is stupid"

Im sorry should this have been discussed in depth before, since I just skimmed over the text.

What to do when a CV drops the X Pattern Of Death on you?

I have usually no problems with single volleys, or even two volleys dropped from similar angles and/or enough time in between.

But then there is this x pattern manouver where they drop two volleys in a 90 degree angle at the same time on you. Usually this happens when im in a DD trying to hunt a CV down.

Now a DD is pretty maneuverable, but that is too much. Turn into either volley and you get a full broadside from the other.

I can reduce the Torps eaten to 1 usually, however seeing as a DD got almost no life at all and given that this situation is usually a rather late game thing where you have like half your health left, a single torp means instant kill.

What to do?

Don't let them setup for a X pattern drop against you.

A DD is so maneuverable that if you constantly change the course to target one of their squads they won't have time/ability to set it up.

The only way a CV can set up an X pattern drop and micromanage 2 squads at once is if you sail straight ahead for long enough time for them to prepare the drop and only try to dodge once torpedoes are in the water.

Don't wait with dodging until torpedoes are in the water.

As someone who mains DDs and CVs, I completely empathize with your problem. Short answer is, you just have to keep dodging and mess up the CV's timings. Don't let the CV setup his 2 squadrons to place the right drop on you. Keep weaving and staying closer to 1 squadron so you mess up his drop circle. It's very hard and I appreciate the difficulty you have.

However, between a really skillful CV player and the best dodging DD player, I have my money on the CV player.

Confession time: I target DDs all the time in my Essex and Midway.
