Help a beginner get into the game ....

so basically been downloading the game for 2 days now ,landing on the same issue over and over again  

here's a capture ; Capture1.png

 

oh and BTW my log file is empty , i have tried all the solutions on the forums and nothing worked ,thank you in advance.

Welcome, try to open it on Administrator mode (right click on the shortcut), or maybe you need more HDD space (it needs about 30GB to install itself properly)

I have 50+GB's free in the hard drive i used to install the game on , as for

the admin thing ill try that as soon as i get access to my computer again but ill doubt it'll do anything.

Well if the admin rights doesnt help,

I would bet the installation files are corrupted (possible from a DC on the internet service or something)

Soo go to (C:\Program Files\World_of_Warships\Updates) and delete all its contents and run the installer again.

Well i already re installed twice, the same update that is and still the same issue i also tried disabling my AV , and using other players .cfg files.

I have 50+ GBs in the C drive aswell but im using the D drive for.the game ,not sure if it has some kind of backdrop file on C ,does it ?

No, the only think it could do on C: was to do the decompression stuff on the %temp% folder and then send the files to the D:

I have my game on D: too.

Did read somewhere that hittng the retry (the blue one near play) button about 6 times would do the trick, maybe you should give it a try =/

Are you sure WoWSLauncher is all blank?

If soo.... maybe the whole folder is read-only

Check out that too on the folder World_of_Warships

Hhhmmmm ill try to clear up the temp file and try it again . Well im off to bed now . Thanks for the advices ill try these first thing in the morning.



Bloody telephones ,i couldnt edit my ppost , but did you mean the WOWSlauncher notepad file ,is so then no ,it filled ,i was talking about my log file ,there no kind of log notepad or something that couldlead me fo the source of.the issue

Well now thats the problem , i dont have one , and i also noticed i dont have the WorldOfWarships.exe in my file too.

EDIT : i re-open the launcher it did extract the update , i dont know what happened ,now its installing more updates , i dont get it ?is it normal ?

Fingers crossed !!

Im not sure about this , but it finished downloading a 300mb update , then it extracted another one , now its its downloading a 3GB update ????

Yes, the game does it, its the updates

(It did the same to me, reached the end and started again and again for about 3 times I guess)

Just dont cancel it and it should be ok

well then im going to stop right now , dont want to wait 2 hours for it finish while i need t odo other stuff , ill restart it when i have some free time .

Thats the main cause of installer errors thou, good luck next time

 you mean cancelling the update ? if so ill open back up.

Yep, canceling it during updates usualy breaks the whole file and needs to down it again

(atleast thats how it works on some installers not sure if this one has that same problem)

Well damn spent al the evening downloading that 3GB update and the issue occured again ..... i guess this game is begging to get uninstalled right now.

btw is this the file you weere talking about ?

 

lol , it downloaded the update , extracted ,didnt finish gave me the error , i retried it it gave me  another warning , now it downloading what looks like to be the same update (because its the exact same size)

i tried deleteing the updates in the update file but it still continues to download that same update .

I think that game will use the Windows TEMP folder for decompressing - and that is, by default, on drive "C:" ... thus you must have enough free space on drive "C:" as well (despite that you are installing on drive "D:")...
