[PRAEG] Praetorias Beta Tester 202 posts 16,107 battles Report post #1 Posted July 2, 2015 Hi, I was in the Cbt and really liked the game but since the wipe and obt now the economy is a lot slower and the grind from tier 6 onwards is plain horrendously slow and dull. Grinding the aoba to myoko leaves me quiting e game after a few matches. Even with fact i have gold and premium account and i have been converting xp after using premium ships it is way too slow. I have a horrible feeling i am going to lose interest and stop playing when i want to love the game. Please make it easier, esp for those who do not have time to live in a game!

[_HUSO] typhaon Beta Tester 447 posts 954 battles Report post #3 Posted July 2, 2015 And once you reach T10... what do you do then? Quit the game because you've beat it? The whole game is about the grind right now, now end game content (yet). And if you have played other WG games you could have known, that they would increase the grind. I still think that you progress rather good. And for gods sake: never ever convert XP for gold... it's the best way to waste valuable gold, better invest it in premium account time or premium ships which you can keep forever.

"Please make it easier, esp for those who do not have time to live in a game!" is actually worst part of your post... People like you dumb and simplify games to the ground last few years. Am playing World of Warcraft for ten long years without break and, sadly, game in current state is only poor, simplified copy of what it was at some point. And why? Because some people "dont have time to live in a game"? Woooah,chill... I am old fcuk with full time job and family and still i find time to play my favourite games. You ppl just wanna shiny, new stuff WITHOUT effort, thats all. And soz for my poor english, its not my native....

[88TH] Siagor Players 1,336 posts Report post #10 Posted July 2, 2015 Or you can stay on Tier 1. Seriously. I'm sick and tired of grind in WoT for four years, then a year in WoWp... I don't intend to do a single day of grind. I like this game, it's fun to sail and shoot - and I can do it all just on Tier 1.
TheDraconicLord Beta Tester 74 posts 89 battles Report post #11 Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Please make it easier, esp for those who do not have time to live in a game! ... I actually have to contain myself from posting AGAIN, TODAY, the short clip of Futurama's Bender "Laugh harder" ... Look, it's a F2P game, but that doesn't mean WG doesn't want any money, oh no, it's a business, and like any business they have a strategy. Here, besides premium ships it translates to, "People spending gold to get more XP" and that is NOT a bad thing or shaming! You really want a ship, you pay up to get a speed boost, hey, perfectly normal! And then want you to play for a nice chunk of time to get you hooked of course, so some grind is required. In short, enjoy the ride, play games, have fun, never make silly requests like that. Edited July 2, 2015 by TheDraconicLord

All of us play from dawn till dusk WOWS trying to unlock a Tier 10 are lifeless idiots who have no goal in their lives? Nice thinking bro,you deserve a nobel for that. [DD445] KurtVonSteiger Weekend Tester 382 posts 38,087 battles Report post #14 Posted July 2, 2015 Unfortunately you are playing a game that is all about grinding and, having just launched it's final version of the economy a slower grind at that. As you have played the beta and must have read the notes you knew that it was a grind game and that the economy was artificially accelerated for testing purposes and would be adjusted accordingly so I do not see what other outcome you expect. Progress is roughly on par with WoT albeit some room for some tweaking but that's not going to happen until WG gets a lot of feedback.
Ranzir Beta Tester 95 posts 1,804 battles Report post #15 Posted July 2, 2015 It is pretty much pointless to grind over tier 5-6 atm, best ships fall in tier 4-6 bracket: Minekaze, Clemson, Cleveland, Kongo, Fuso just to name the obvious ones. After those grind just gets really bad, gameplay remains pretty much the same, economy without prem gets really rough and at least in early days/weeks you will end up with long waiting times or teams are that are not full. Also as pointed out there is really no end game implemented, so why rush ?

Cleveland, Kongo and Fuso are all good ships, even too good for its tiers... a crutch ships for bad players if we say it that way, but the real fun starts in higher tiers when the ships become more equal in speed, range and damage potential. Do you care to elaborate on the "more fun at higher tiers" part? Havent made it above tier 6 in CBT and judging by WoT, i feel tier 8 may be the most fun, but certainly not higher tiers. Well, tier 10 may be fun the first half year when not many people have it and are struggling with their tier 8's and 9's. But thats just 'noob'stomping (aka stomping lower tiers). Best is off course just an opinion, everyone has their own taste so not gonna argue that. However, point is that gameplay wise Amagi offers very little over Fuso... sure it has better armor, better guns etc since it is much higher tier machine, but then again it faces bigger guns, better CVs, and generally stiffer competition. And things you need to do in Kongo and Fuso are pretty much the same as with Amagi, so are the tactics. Off course there are minor differences, but for me in CBT when I went up tiers past 5-6 the game just really didn't change, only grind was way bigger and economy worse. TheJezna Beta Tester 790 posts 1,808 battles Report post #21 Posted July 2, 2015 While I don't think the tier progression needs to be tampered with to much, I do think the game would benefit from more "intermediary" rewards. Things like more modules the unlock as you progress from one tier to the next. That would make the grind feel a little less harsh, when you actually are getting at least some kind of reward and progression at a quicker rate.
mightyjazz Beta Tester 11 posts 991 battles Report post #22 Posted July 2, 2015 Have to completely agree with you they have made a good game crap and just a grind fest, plus they need to rename the game completely to world of bon-fires because it is just stupid the amount of times your set on fire

Battledragon Beta Tester 615 posts 1,251 battles Report post #24 Posted July 2, 2015 I'm not loosing the will to play this game becasue of the grind, I'm loosing the will to play becuase of the bloody skill nerf that HE brings. there is just NO POINT learning to aim properly any more when the only way you can ever get citadel hits with AP now is against someone being stupid and sailing in a straight line. most cruisers can turn so fast now they can avoid incoming fire after you fire it at them if they're more than 7-9km away from you. Destroyers can do this at 5km. I don't WANT HE to be a viable alternative to AP in all situations, I want it to be more realisic, IE effective for killing small unarmoured ships, or for damaging deck modules on armored ships, not letting an agile light cruiser burn any battleship to death while it only takes 500-1000 damage per hit from battleship shells due to being able to throw off the aim enough to make citadel hits impossible. [NKK] valrond Beta Tester 884 posts 12,999 battles Report post #25 Posted July 2, 2015 Look, I've been playing War Thunder for over a year now, I've got premium time and most of the premium vehicles, over 500 registered hours (I have more, but I rarely play with Steam now), and I only have ONE tier 5 plane. ONE. So don't say the grind is too much. PS: Tier 5 is the highest in WT.
