[CAIN] G01ngToxicCommand0 Beta Tester 2,177 posts 23,318 battles Report post #1 Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) Well I only have one game but having had the pleassure of the Mogami I have to say that the Atago is a jewel which while having slowish turrets, a little lower DPM and turn rate it is still quite a capable ship especially now that the front torpedo launchers fire on the forward arc whihc means it is easier to mask when you are firing torpedoes And it looks really nice Takes quite a lot for me to be a fanboy but this tier VIII premium Cruisers is worth the 10.500 gold in my honest opinion so buy it if you like to play cruiser allthough presently it is mostly other premium ships it encounter. [TRYIT] wremise Beta Tester 263 posts 3,333 battles Report post #3 Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) i have bought it! well, its worse then a mogami, but she has great torpeto lanchers. the online problem is, that there are no players who have tier VIII already its really refreshing to play a tier VIII again, cause i the tier IV half ot the team are arkensas beta players, who can snipe at you at 10 km range.... i will really pitty all the new players who will join OBT... Not much damage, not one torp hit but some nice fires. Kinda miss my high skill captain but I'll get that back soon enough I guess if I keep grinding. And even just wallet warrior ( Atago, Sims, Warspite were in my battle.. no Atlanta ) it's still fun to play tier 8 already Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The dps is good and if they close in to much you even got torps. I didn't like it, it's situational ( tried it on PT ). And it is a nice escort cruiser, though I am not sure how the dp gun's and crew skills/equipment work right now ( as it has a rather mediocre basic AA rating ). And the atago catfights usually end with both atago dead or severely wounded. Those torpedoes are nasty. And her AP is great against other Atagos. Tell me more tips and tricks.
