There was this infamous shortlist farce on Xmas some years ago, where you could get some lootboxes, with one of those being the final reward for the Xmas calendar iirc. And it pretty much became a meme because it was supposed to be dropping "a random ship out of more than 100 (?)", and it happened to be the Makarov by not-so-sheer coincidence so often that people started predicting it before opening the box on YT. Yeah, as @MementoMori_6030 pointed out, there were Santa Containers that had fixed odds via a series of hidden short lists. Instead of having a purely random chance of obtaining a ship, potentially a nice one (which is what was implied in the adverts) your initial drops came from a list of not-so-good ships. Makarov was one of three ships in that first list - hence the meme. If you already owned those three, then your ship would be chosen from the next list of better ships. And only if you already had all of those did you stand a chance of getting a really good ship from these crates. Benham is probably the only ship that would make me interested but im guessing these "SPECIAL SPECIAL" ships is not available in this as well. I could maybe be interested in some great RB or Steele ships, but guessing those are of the table as well. All the rest of the good premiums and special ships I already have. Like trading in ships for tokens, and then spending the accumulated tokens on a vast pool of other ships, plus dubloons if you are short of tokens.
