Oh Boy... from the WoWs v12.4 the so-called "Supercontainers" contents will be heavily nerfed...

I got my first super container in a long time today ... totally worth the wait and anticipation:   image.thumb.png.a1efcdb1ccc8b253b087485a425f3793.png

IIRC musashi was for freeXP

She was for coal and freexp. I bought mine for 132k coal with coupon ( was 176k full price if i remember right). Missouri was the " only  freexp " ship.

He probably ment that Musashi was one of the first free EXP ships in this game. Not free EXP-only.

Musashi later became Coal ship. First it was free EXP.

The real question is: are they still give only 1 of those nerfed containers for each tier X we have in port for September birthday event or increase it? I guess time will tell.

One of the reasons why they are doing it in the first place.

Too many people with tier 10 ships.

And yes they are now completely and utterly trash, was only a matter of time.  WG are pulling back the Raines a lot with all the rework and economic nerfs dating back to the captain rework, all to get the punters to buy something.  They are even giving out real money for something, cant remember what now but something to get players playing.

Can't wait WeGreedy staff and shills trying to convince us that is a great change benefiting the players and was asked from the majority.

I'm expecting the "but look, we have given you a lot more SCs, so making the contents carp balances out - our aim was never to make things worse for the players...etc. etc." type of nonsense, possibly with a soupcon of "we'll monitor the results...".

Thing is, most of us on the forum who have a good idea what is being lost here are not the majority of players; WG are - as usual - banking that the (silent?) majority either won't notice/care, or are happy because they get the "yay, super container" noise more frequently (which must be good, right?)...

When will they realise that happy costumers are more willing to buy things from a seller?

Keep pushing them away may benenfit in the short term, but will hurt a lot in longer terms...

Except, the silent majority doesn't read the forums, not does it read patch notes of the news on the website. Most of them will never know this change happened.

Case and point, a year after WG made repair costs independent from the sinking or not of the ship, people still tried to hide because they would lose too much credits if they'd sink.

I see potential for another eco rework, like having to re-buy ships which have been sunk (for dubloons, if it was a premium ship). :Smile_coin:

Never understate stupidly. Most players haven't got a clue and wouldn't care if they brought out laser dolphins.

Besides, WG are into a lot more than gaming.  Property is big on their agenda (like buying up the property on Cyprus).

What are they going to do with it? Selling Hotelchamers to people who can't afford/want it, because the silent majority wants it in their mind? And keep selling more and more chambers even though they're not build well and completely imbalanced?

After thinking about the changes for a while the intention behind the changes is very clear, for WG's liking simply too many people where benefitting from access to free in-game ressources for what really should be "pay to use" in-game content:

Premium time => should be payed for with money or be unlocked via payed-for doubloons

Doubloons => should be payed for with money

Dockyard => should be unlocked with payed-for doubloons

Battle pass => should be unlocked with payed-for doublons

Any pre-release or other gambling events => should be accessed with payed-for doubloons

Premium ships => should be unlocked with payed-for doubloons

So if you cancel much of the free doubloons (overall reduction to about 64% of what we now have) as well as the 30 days premium time (overall reduction to about 58% of what we now have) people will have to spend more. The addition of the grey boosters makes this nerf even more baffling.

And yes, while you are more likely to get a ship always remember that the ship will drawn at random, not the ship that you wanted to have and could have bought using supercontainer doubloons (and a coupon).

And you had to think about that mate?

It was in plain sight. WG decision = Money.  And i'm totally not against gaming companies making money at all, as it's jobs for people and they need to put food on the table.  But I can choose where I spend my money and this game in the last 3-4 years, isn't one of them.

They made the decisions which made up mine. It's the fat cats that cause the problems and there poor soul destroying PR minions, not the game designers.

I spent good money on the game when it was good and was happy too, but now?  Not a chance...NOT a chance. WOT went the same way.

If they treated their players (and LWM) with an ounce of respect, people would buy into it.  The only ones that do are the simple pew pew players, free WG hand out CCs and those that cant let go (and hoarders) that need their fix and like i said, never underestimate stupidly and ignorance .  Most people don't wanna know or care, they are safe in their own little bubble. A diamond is a diamond in their eyes, regardless if it's a blood mined one.

Well the thinking process was more about the in-between implications, not about the "nerfed supercontainers = more money for WG" end result, which indeed was apparent from the very start.

I'm pretty sure that people that have practically everything already buy less than those that don't.

Rejoice, they halved the green booster and added the even crappier gray ones.

You mean the brown ones don't you? - those are the colour of crap & are crap.

Yes, another step into closing access to free doubloons. Like compensation rules for receiving ships and, more recently, fixed economic bonusses. With the jpn cruiser line you could equip a permanent economic bonus on an early release ship and get doubloons back when you earned it with a mission. Now you only get credits. CT containers the same. Now they nerf doubloon income by SC.

Before all these nerfs a player with a full harbor with T10 could get enough doubloons for free to, with some reservations, actually play for free while still able to join some interesting events. Now that gone. I have 50+ T10. See to get 5-7k free Doubloons plus some more from monthly and random SC. On average I think this decision will cost me 5k a year.
