IMHO all the last changes to the economy of the game (which was very rewarding TBH in the past) show that they are guiding the game to a Pay to Play mode instead of a F2P game.

Every change they make is to subtract resources from all payouts. On the other hand, I can't blame them so much. The game economy was very rewarding. Players like me (regular player for over 4 years) have hoarded lots of credits, FXP, CXP and all the other resources.

I could buy all ships for resources without a sweat, or FXP any line a want, or just convert my FXP to RB points. Or be playing superships with relative credit impunity. Most probably they want to make players like me start spending resources or deplete my reserves.

So no more chance of 30 premium days or 5k doubloons. No more freebies with good luck. Also if you want good eco bonuses you're supposed to pay for battlepass now.

Like just make it a subscription based game already and make all the content included in subscription fee, whatever it is.

The real question is: are they still give only 1 of those nerfed containers for each tier X we have in port for September birthday event or increase it? I guess time will tell.

Well this is what is the main nerf. I have 70+ T10 and increasing so it is the anniversary that is the main source, so even if I somehow would accept twice as many for half rewards it is the nerf to anniversary that strikes hard. Some of the changes like RB points or Elite Commander XP is per se not bad so some adjustments in content are OK  but not these.

I am not surprised at all.

I would rather accept lower drop rate in return for better rewards - make supercontainers great again- oh have 50 grey FXP boosters - Snarrrrrkkkkkk

For me, this is the evidence that what we were saying is true. They lose a lot of players.

A company that earns lots of income can and will be generous with rewards to thank the costumers for their money/loyalty while a compagny that looses money does everything to get the money from their costumers.

Or they're just a scammy bunch of :etc_swear: with zero morals.

Here is what's gonna change  ( taken from the NA forum ) :

So reading this correctly the expected income for us will be (due to double amount of crates):

Ship drops effectively increased from 1,5 to 2%

5000 doubloons to 0 is a huge loss.

1000 doubloons is from 10% to 8%

Steel is the same amount.

Coal is  the same amount.

and the rest is mostly irrelevant in my eyes. Although stealing 5% of the total to the completely useless 75k cxp is also a waste.

Is there a place to see this number (how many SC you have already opened)? Or you just taly them in Excel?

Statistically speaking ship drop rate went from 1.5% per container to 1.99% for two, but 2% is a close enough estimation I guess. And as you already noticed the problem is not halving the rewards while doubling the drop rate for a net zero effect, but also heavily nerving the rewards while doing so. As such we lost 2.5% o what made those containers "super" in the first place (doubloons, premium time) and another 22.5% of what I would still consider "good enough". Instead we got a whooping 25% filler content, namely the 20% grey boosters and 5% elite captain XP.

Just shows again that WG has zero interest in their costumers...

Nothing will stop this, i'm afraid. They're just blinded by greed, or they cannot accept complaints or critisism.

Unfortunately there is not...  even asked the "Customer Support"... :Smile_sad:

I am now around 145 opened so-called "Supercontainers" and without a ship as a reward... just 15+ more for guaranteed drop (i.e. "Pity / Mercy Rule")... It has been years since me getting a ship from it... :Smile_sad:

I have never had a ship from these containers

Indeed. It's a noticable loss of "great" loot overall with more filler. I suppose the ~0.5% increased ship drop helps, since in my eyes that's what (people like me) wants anyways either through direct drop or doubloons/steel.

The biggest loss would be, believe it or not, the "Green Boosters"... from WoWs v12.4 they will ONLY (AFAIK) be available for Coal (as "Free" Resource")... :Smile_hiding:

That was a whole point of camo rework - to cut down access to boosters.

I wrote this back in July 2022:

Cytat

WG was waving supposedly beneficial conversion of camos and flags we have for boosters, to blind us from fact, that once we use up those boosters, new ones will just not came remotely as often and as good as old camos and flags. Unless we open our wallets.

Isn't there a high chance to get a low tier ship and low chance to get a high tier (useful) ship? I've gotten several over the years, but most are not memorable due to being tier 2-3-4...

I suppose buying up all the crap ships in the Armory for low amounts of coal helps(?)

WG doesn't need / want people with a lot of premium ships and many tier X, because they don't need to waste more money in the game. All they movements go for attract casual players and frustrate veterans.

It doesn't hurt for WG that some of us that are "adequate" players got some premium ships. I've first hand had a friend join and see me kick arse in a "strong" premium ship, being convinced that he would do just as well because of the ship itself.  Not because of:

* I'm usually a better pvp player in any game than him

* I have 20k battles and may be learned something..hopefully.

* he is notoriously the worst pvp player of all my friends and the stats shows this. I was surprised that an adult person with no disabilities could play wows this poorly...

* Outright ignored any advice over voicechat REPEATEDLY. Even the most basic things like " dont go into the cap because we are 2 vs 5" and two minutes later he is going full speed into the cap, claiming "he is trying to turn" in Bismarck. then sailing past a static BB i told him to ram.. only to miss the ram on another moving BB.

Now people like this would happily part with their money just thinking ship X is awesome because my friend did so well...

So, I'm think WG will give us 2 SC each month.... Right?

I'm trying to finish grinding 7 more T10 ships in time for the anniversary SC drop. I got few T7 premiums ships; coal and even steel drops in last years event.

Looks like its not worth the effort anymore. One reason I don't mind spending money on this game was WG gives out decent rewards for F2P players, I was one for the 1st year. So I don't mind help keep WG profits rolling.

But now, with even more predatory gambling, 3 random bundles going on at the same time right now, with reducing each random bundle cost and increasing the no of total bundles (pan American cruisers event), WOWS is turning into a casino prying on the weak willed, with ships as the main attraction, hence why WG is pumping them out at even faster pace with no intentions to balance them into the game (subs).

Add this to the ever reducing rewards to our follow F2P players, I think I will skip all the premium BP and dockyard events this year, I have all the premium ships I even wanted to play already.
