"Repeated Battle Entry With the Same Ship  

Update 12.4 introduces a new feature that will allow players to enter a new battle with a ship that was just destroyed without having to wait for the current battle to conclude. This way, you'll be able to fight more battles playing your favorite ship during a game session and this option should help you speed up your game progress on your favorite ships.

You will be able to enter a new battle after your ship is destroyed directly through the exit screen of the current one. This change won't affect Clan Battles. "

 

in short:

no more waiting time to take same ship out to ruin next teams experience:etc_red_button:.... rush/earn/rush/earn/rush/earnwhileurush'notherwayround/..., never look back, heya t10.

 

brilliant beyond..... damn, even brilliant beyond skybolds coffee threads, quick motions mental moving speed or gasbags clouds of interpretation...

When I first read about this, I thought WG meant for us to be able to enter the same battle all over again, with the same ship that was just sunk... I don't know if it speaks worse of my current state of mind, or of my current expectations of the WG developers' department...!

Oh how fun Ranked will be. Every fruit will play Kleber, yolo, die in 2 minutes, next battle - wohooo, look mom, I'm in gold league and it took me only 483 games to reach it.

The game is an absolute mess, how could it possibly get any worse?, oh wait this is how!, what's next WG?, a ship line that has a respawn ability as it's gimmick?

I'm really curious about WG server keeping up with weekends... fearing a lot of problems.

One way to boost player numbers - count the same guy multiple times. :Smile_trollface:

In that case it's for inflating the amount of battles per hour. So the guy will use more flags and bonuses in the same period of time, it'll encourage the yolo playstyle as @MrWastee said. Having less boosters as a result will make the player go and buy boosters when they'll be available in the armoury (like they're now for example by buying the Pan American bundles) or buying Christmas crates in the future to get those bonuses. 

In conclusion - this will lead the players to spend more money. And ruin the gameplay experience at the same time. And getting the T10 even faster.

Yup, WG farming players for det flags in the armoury is one of the reasons I suspect is behind this change.

Easy solution, don't fly any of those flags. On the other hand, I'm a little worried if this would drain the credits relatively fast.

oh, not only boosters/sigs. everything. while earnings in xp per hour for the not so good players might rise, the spendings in credits probably will not. less dmg/match, less cred earnings. more yoloing, less dmg in most cases.

 

so, while the spending side for boosters/signals is covered via the armory and credits/coal, the spending side in regard to maint. costs/match will rise for any player yoloing.

casuals this way might feel intencivied (?! sry, german :Smile_glasses:) to spent money on credits in the prem store.

 

conclusion: by ruining the team experience for anyone interested in actual playing a match they 1st up do generate a win-win-win for themselves. plus they paint the image for the player to benefit from this change, while actually my bet is on the only ones really benefitting from this is their very own wallets.

 

in the 1st place this might work out. in the 2nd i can imagine this becoming a real problem for the game in the long...

Most likely that's the intent, along with superships, to drain player's accounts of credits in the most efficient way possible.

Having read your post, I now have this utterly hilarious picture in my mind of two teams composed of nothing but Klébers yoloing against each other over and over and over again... like the Grand Joust scene from the 1982 "Ivanhoe" film going on repeat on my old VCR player, when I was twelve years old. Glory to the brave...!!!

Only the silent majority is not really the majority. They are just a minority that plays the majority of battles. One griefer even now can easily play triple the amount of battles per day, compared to a serious player. If I make an effort, I can do 4-5 battles per hour. I made an experiment on an alt account once, where I managed 13 battles in an hour, basically just yoloing.

If the restriction of waiting for your ship to comeback is removed, I would guess you can do as many as 15 battles.

 

This means that even if there was as many good players as there are bad players - which is not the case - the bad players would account for 80% of your team mates, just based on the sheer volume of battles that bad players can participate in.

Now take the more realistic numbers we saw back when the Maplesyrup database still existed, and it becomes abvious that in the future ~85%-90% of your teams will be playing below human intelligence, i.e. 10 out of 12 players orange or worse.

even better:

 

while one could argue "players yet also could take out any other ship", as in number is only gated by ship no. in port, they simply gonna create more incentive to go down the yolo lane on single ships/lines by adding new borderline op ships/"features". as they all always did, "moar shinies"... RU subs are already being tested lol...

and, if it works out within the schedule, this pattern will get forced until the breaking point.

that's the way of the powercreep.
