Fairness of MM   You need to look at an MM like this.   1 - its Random -  If you guaranteed that your match maker was always putting you are equal skilled games it would no longer be random, it would be artificial and manipulated MM. 2 -  If every team and opponent was of equal skill, you would no longer have a variation in win rates,  all players will ultimately end up sitting in a range of 49-51%. thus Bringing up the bad players and lowering the good ones. 3 - Now because of reason 2 you cant use Wr to divide teams up. You could argue that they can use PR as a calculating factor, Now you have 800Pr  to 1200 Pr players, which as we all know this makes the majority of the player base they will always get games but one team will always be a bit better than the other. However when we look towards the upper side of the scale you start having very few players in the 3500 plus Pr bracket . Now lets say there are 60 players that exist in this bracket. Not all of them are online at the same time and not all of them play the same tier of ships at the same time. This means that maybe 24 of these player spend a whole night playing against each other but more than likly they will spend the rest of their time waiting for people to join. so the PR system does not work for both ends of the scale.   the only way for you to not suffer in Randoms is to get better yourself and Div with better players, by doing this you will play better.
