Wows turning into World of warplanes

I really dont like the turn this game is taking.

CV's are becoming more powerful and AA less effective

Ships are being introduced that can launch bombers/rocket planes/torp planes

We have subs with their "magic" mechanics that supporters refuse to realise they break the game

Next up, we will probably have subs that launch planes as well.

It is getting harder and harder to do anything about planes, if you are singled out.

With many of the other adversaries in the game you have options, you can hide behind an island (if available), you can run away (if fast enough) - but against planes you have little defense - running away is not an option, hiding is not an option.

Welcome to "World of Warships Warplanes" - and you better love it, because wargaming are not open to feedback.

While not all planes attack ships, it will probably look more like World of Airbattles in the future.

Battle of Britain veterans would be probably be like: "Wow, that is a %§#-ton of planes there".

lol, woat u expect?!

usn hybrids, support cv's, dd with controllable plane in testing (afaik?!^^).... this on top of ise, tone, kearsarge, (tromp)..... not to forget airdrops and cv's in general ofc ^^.... or everything in that regard still in store. ijn sub with plane anyone?! :cap_book:

basically, with current mm iteration, soon it will be possible to meet full teams of ships with controllable squads. or airdrops.... or...... subs :Smile_great:

with current AA iteration.... (whooh, "testing new sheet"..... :Smile_veryhappy::Smile_great:)....

in the end it's gonna be more squads possible than ever in rts lmao:Smile_veryhappy::etc_red_button:

and the best part: no way ever they stick up with any "balancing" to their release schedule! as in, b4 anything happens, well..... we'll see :Smile_popcorn:

*simple solution to anything plane related: give em all machine guns + enable team damage on em :Smile_trollface:

The bean counters had to rescue all that investment into WoWP - odd they haven't thought to use planes in WoT the way they shoved them onto WoWS after the idiotic CV rework.

I guess we might refer to WoWS as 'World of WarpedShips'.

They should, then they could remove 50% from this game and put it into Wot :-)

In world of Warplanes players get to shoot down other planes, here they dont.  World of Warships is turning into World of Targets

Not counting CVs there is more planes then ships in any match of this game so they really should rename it by know. Most players spend more times flying squadrons then driving ships. Dont wanna mislead the new customers. For me, im just waiting for the sea mines and all the bomb carrying dolphins, then I will be very happy.

The other problem is the Hybrid BBs who play like a CV. Camp behind an island and just launch their not very good planes. Get spotted and die by the other team firing over the island. And of course the other team have BBs that actually use their guns. Had two in a team where they both sat behind the same island almost all game - the opposition BBs had a field day.

Not to worry :Smile_Default: - most of those barely sentient :Smile_child: beings bother to see what is said here by the clever players :cap_like: in the Forum :Smile_teethhappy:

There are planes in WoT, for scenery and certain strikes in Frontline, Steel Hunter and Advances. There is even a CV as an integral part of the map Glacier. Good heavens!

Me thinks  this belongs here...

Honestly I wouldn't mind Cv;s if planes would not spot. I mean. yes the class is completely dishonestly implemented but themselves would be manageable if spotting would be removed coz that act as a doubling factor.I tried everything to explain the danger this poses to the game and to them from making angry posts, to having long discussions on NA and... everywhere with Weegee staff or not, pointing out that there is not one single valid argument which can be made in the defence of the class. Not one. Not from game design pov and ...certainly not from player pov. To no avail.

So, we had three classes and a class which count as double in terms of toxicity. Then they decided to add subs effectively equalling the number of active to predatory classes and to increase the presence of planes by hybrids . Even common sense says  do not pile the sh#t, "do not sail broadside in a Cl to a BB", but they refuse to heed these simple truths.

So........it is clear that there is a certain....."spitefulness" on Weegee's part, which goes waay beyond simple incompetence, greed or .....else. At this point I would say they are...... accelerating things. They are not doing anything to relieve the pressure,on the contrary,  just keep piling on

Fortunately OP is mistaken, on ASIA Kanatan_Pettan kindly directed our attention to this jem of a clip on twitter, provided by a lesser known player, that shows there's plenty of surface action in the game and the warplanes are not a factor at all.

At this point the best thing would be split the game in two: "WoWs - Classic Era" up to WW1, and then "WoWs - Modern Era " from post-WW1 to... (the '70s maybe?). :Smile_sceptic:

Could WG throw Dr. Evil as captain into the bargain? We could really appreciate his submarine jokes in game, I think.
