For me i-56 is situational. The low battery capacity and bad concealment makes it more of a campy sub. Plus you can't spot other subs underwater. She's just a T8 version of Kamikaze R which has a "not easy time" to deal with DDs. But pumps out a lot of torps with very low reload time just like Kamikaze. 

The main SAP gun is cool thing and sometimes useful.

I was beginning to wonder when to expect the "general" release of both of those subs - remember, I-56 was in the event alongside S-189.

Both are in the logbook which usually  means release within this patch

They are in logbook since October last year (I think) cause I have them both from early access bundles.
