Why is the Kamikaze in tier 5? I think it's the most powerful ship in the t5 and it's extremely powerful. am i the only one who thinks like that?

It does not matter if you can be beaten in a Kamikaze one on one by another ship. The Kamikaze is just good at winning games. I am a below avarage player with currently 44% overall winrate but I have 72% winrate in my Kamikaze R. The T-61 is even worse. I have 78% winrate in that ship.

This is just to make more money for WG. It should not be a surprise that ships like the Kamikaze or the T-61 can only be obtained by spending a lot of money or being extremely lucky.

And you can smash the Gulio straight through the bow and maybe even citadeling him.

That should not be possible because of GC second and now hidden icebreaker bow.

And still the performance was not that strong when a ship with her attributes was played by the average playerbase...

I admit that I get better, so that 44% winrate might not completly represent my current skil anymore. The Kamikaze (R) and the T-61 I got in December so you are right that this is closer to my current skill level. It is of course not only my own skill level but also the skill level of the people that I play with. If you div up with better players then your winrate will go up as well.

She is a torpedo boat, a very good even OP torpedo boat. But as a torpedo boat she suffers as all other torpedo boats that depending on positioning of red team, you can get shut off from been effective in game, if the red team have stronger DD and cruisers in front of their BB and not played by potatoes.

I think Siroco is probably one of the most OP DD at T5, vs Kamikaze, as she can outfight other DD even T6 DD. Had good luck in her in random and ranked so far.

I second this. here are my Ranked stats. Yes kami is stupidly strong but the right ship in the right Hands does good to compete with almost any other. there are often exception that twork for and against ships depending on situation.

Maybe not citadeled but still taking 10k+ dmg from the bow.

The only T5s that can brawl close range are the Konig, Viribus Unitis and Pyotr Veliki. Others can't.

I have to say daring to brawl in a V.U. is quite brave. With those gun angles and that high citedel, you'll probably eat wice as much damage than the opponent.

Are you sure about this? Aren't the shots that hit the internal icebreaker counting as torpedo bulge hits or something, or do you aim higher? I remember face-tanking a KGV long time ago and it seemed to work quite well.

On a side note, I wonder if the Novorossiwhateveritisnamed also has said icebreaker.

EDIT: NVM, found an answer in LWM's review:

[...] Bow on, the story changes.  While she has an extended belt armour which helps her face tank some shells, there's still a large section of 19mm worth of armor that can be overmatched directly head on.  However, she is unlikely to take citadel hits from this angle as there's an interior 85mm armoured "beak" inside the bow to help deflect shells away from her magazines and barbettes.  This wedge is a mixed blessing.  While it does largely prevent citadel hits, it also upgrades many hits that would simply be overpenetrations into penetrating hits instead.  So while it's unlikely for Cesare to take catastrophic hits when sailing directly bow onto an enemy, she'll still take large damaging hits as a matter of course.

Yeah that’s what I meant. I also once thought this internal plate can help. But when I got smashed once or twice I thought “nah you can’t brawl nose in with this”

Novorosiysk has 16mm bow so can be overmatched by calibers smaller than even Graf Spee or Scharnhorst ones.... If Avaroff will be released one day with 234mm guns , it’s AP will overmatch Novorosiysk.

She should, as she is the same ship. And the second bow was never removed from the historic ship.
