Why is the Kamikaze in tier 5? I think it's the most powerful ship in the t5 and it's extremely powerful. am i the only one who thinks like that?

There are many good Tier V ships. Kongo scales very well with player skill.

Kongo is a perfect all-around ship, but how a Giulio can kill a Kongo is dirty! Recently I played against  Giulio I had the Kongo and we had a one-on-one (pretty rare ) as much as I angled he got crazy hits when I shot him even at the right spots it was either bounce or overpen ! And the Cherry on top he got me Citadeled while I was angled! Even Kongo can't kill this ship! The only solution to kill it is either stealth torp or focus fire!

I have sunk a few GC with Kongo and her sisters that I know that it works. And avoid 1v1. Go for a flanking position. That is what Kongo is good for.

Just wondering. If the playerbase could handle these ships 5 years ago and can't handle them now while the Kami stats did not change... What does it say about today's playerbase?

Depends on the damage.

Farming 60k torpedo damage on BB wins less matches than 30k damage on DD.

My Nicholas beats a Kamikaze/Fujin in most 1V1 's. It's no longer the power house it once was. But still is fairly strong.

Best counter is division of CV and Clemson or T22. No seal clubber Kamikaze can deal with it.

OP, with CV you should be able to ruin Kamikaze games easily alone.

I always assume it's split between the classes (as targets) but that's maybe just because I play mostly cruisers for some time now.

I have sunk a couple but it depends on who is using the ship what flags are using etc! I also didn't point out a few stuff i was flanking and the 1v1 happened because only the 2 of us left!

I found that (my) Texas is a decent counter for Giulio Cesare, at least, I'm not afraid of getting pitted against one. This holds even more true in smaller formats like Ranked.

IJN tech tree DDS are very similar to Kamikaze, can easily perform the same. Kamizake only excels because when you add high point commander it will have advantage against those 6-10 point commanders.

Doesn't sound true. Kongo got better guns and other stats are pretty similar.

Doesn't matter the angling at close ranges with T5 BBs mate. It's just like trying to angle in a Nagato against Colorado or Sinop. T5 BBs overmatch each other cause they have 19mm bow. The 320mm of Gulio can overmatch 22mm. Kongo's 356mm overmatch 24mm. And you can smash the Gulio straight through the bow and maybe even citadeling him. The only T5s that can brawl close range are the Konig, Viribus Unitis and Pyotr Veliki. Others can't.
