It's not like that. If you team tries to lose, you can't defeat your team. Random battles with bad MM mean that you play against you team, not the other one, if you want to win. Ship choice certainly has a lot of impact. The power creep between tiers is huge, in particular in the highest tiers. Additionally tier 10 and tier 11 have the most moronic and most campy designs for a similar situation with a feeder doing more harm than a good player can compensate in any Dota clone which is why banning feeders is the most important problem fix in such games. Lots of such people play their tier 10s and superships all the time.

 

Back in the day with WOT it was very obvious when they changed the economy. Before the change a good player needed multiple battles of grinding credits with a premium to play one tier 10 battle. After the change they could play tier 10 all the time. The effect of the change was very noticable without any delay.

Just play some tier 10 and look for accounts for with 10 as most played tier and WR 56 or 57

A lot of players have their accounts reset at some point, it's beyond me why, but they do.

I was the only one in my team with an average WR above 50% just like in the other team is just only player (Kamikaze) with a WR above 50%. It's just a matter of who has the smartest noobs in his team, cause I was able to kill Kamikaze after a long chase but he had good support of his rookie players. A loss but It was a good game :-)
