So, the ship is free. It is not 50 quid or not 12500 dubs. It is free. You can spend the dubs. It is for players who would buy dubs because they want to spend money in the game. You don't want to spend money in the game, you don't get the free ship either. It is like those free nespresso machines. You get it free if you buy 400 capsules. You don't want 400 capsules you don't get the free machine. You only want to have the free capsules every 6 month, it is fine, but than you don't get a free machine. You only want to buy 30 capsules at a time, because that is enough for you for a month, fine, but you don't get a free machine. Free machine is for those who spend ahead a bit. It does not worth to be upset about it. It is a F2P game. You spend money on it you get extras. It would be worth if the extras would help you win. What I think is that those who spend money on the game will not feel a sudden urge to spend more ahead just to get a T3 ship. It will be used by the ones who anyway would spend on dubs now so actually it is not a good marketing plot. The 100% birthday coupon is a good one and last summer was a doubloon related promotion which was a good value. Without the birthday coupon probably a lot of players would not buy the BP or would not buy in to whale for steel in dockyards. This one will not generate any significant extra sales.
