Looks kind of interesting. I will defo be trying them out. 9k radar on a dd....bring it on.

You can get 13 seconds radar duration and 51 seconds reload. Basically any DD that survives and does not turn back is then prey for allied radar cruiser. If he tries to trade, you just kill him or both smoke and you traded better. If he runs and tries to come back, your radar is about ready to go again ...

 

And the DPM is good enough.

But seriously... wtf? These numbers make no sense. You have very long range radar for a DD (9 km) coupled with smoke... but it has pathetic 10 second base duration. But the reload duration is very short.

 

What is this supposed to be? What kind of gameplay are they trying to create?

 

It seems to me this is just a random assembly of gimmicks that is completely inconsistent with anything we have in the game right now (radar range of 9 km is out of whack with existing DD radar; radar duration of 10 seconds seem almost useless from gameplay point of view... smoke with radar is supposed to be pretty much a nono or at least something you pay very dearly for).

They have a spinning wheel at WG headquarters featuring DIFFERENT RADARS - SUBS - OP CVs - AIRSTRIKES - MINE FIELDS - DOLPHINS WITH BOMBS - CLUSTER BOMBS - FLYING CVs that they spin a couple of times for every new line. So if were unlucky we get a DD line with CVs on their backs with radar.

What's the best surface detection you can get out of this thing; something like 7.7 km? DDs with cr4ppy sneakiness never really did it for me, so these'll just be another Coop line for me, I think, unless something changes drastically during testing...

Never put radar and smoke together and these clowns have done it again *slow clap*.

 

Then slap on a duration premium mod to extent that time to more than 10 secs.

 

just to reinforce that point...they have done it AGAIN.

Now imagine spotting this Gdańsk in a open 7.6 km with your DD. Bum radar, then it starts bombing you with hard hitting fast French shells with around 3s reload on 6 barrels with modules and AR. You have to smoke/turn and run or it will rush you so you've shown side and lost up to 50% of HP, he's meanwhile disappeared in his smoke not taking damage unlike Smalland, Ragnar or YY still lighted up by you/your team would. 50s later this can happen again. Caps will be no go zones. I know how much even poorly played Smalland or Black has area control, this one is going to be similar level toxic. It's only 10-13s but those first 10-15seconds are usually when most of damage is done, later anyway you should be able to angle/run/hide anyway if you are good with DDs.

Imagine also how this thing will AP citadel in smoke CL at a 6-9km km. But WG knows that CLs are OP so it's OK I guess:Smile_facepalm:

Later when you've killed DDs still you can play it like Kaba or Modagor. It will need 21 pointer and and extended range to really shine but by now everyone has at least one.

I think that it will be OP in good hands and pain in :etc_swear: to play against for DDs, even against potato players because of toxic combo of gimmics.

Maybe not much fan to play but definitely much less fun to play against.

Maybe against T5s. Try playing on T9 MM. Blyska itself is labeled as "bad". Grom os worse. Good luck. 

Except Grom have from get go 7km detection, compared to 7.6km on Błyskawica. Doesn't help much against tier 8+, but when kept to same tier, Grom concealment suddenly gets competitive while packing quite the guns.

Reminder, Jinan despite having the same guns as Sherman/Austin, doesn't get magic air drag, so "French 139/50 known for good ballistics" can suddenly develop severe case of parachute when put on "it could be assumed" ship, killing any and all 8km+ gunnery.

Imagine Gdansk + Kleber div. No DD could survive such engagement, 10(12)sec radar is enough to basically if not kill than to make that DD useless for the rest of the game. Initial stats on Gdansk are insane, whole concept of having radar on DD is bad. On something like YY it could work due its DPM, shell velocity, no smoke ..., on something like French DD it is just brutal. Lot of DDs can outtrade YY and it can not hide as no smoke if it is using radar, not many will be able to outtrade Gdansk. Just stop WG

After a quite some time I am kinda looking forward to Split, a lot, mostly cause I am from country which sailed the said ship historically..actually after many game additions that I couldnt care less about, this one I ll take with the spoon it came with🤟😎
