There are moments when "doing nothing wins the game", but they are exception, not the rule.

 

And precise boundary when afk/passive kicks in is purposefully kept secret, so specimens like you (or bots for that matter) can't skirt around it.

Then try doing a bit more. Try doing 15k damage per battle consistently. If that's not enough, try 20k. Add some caps, potential damage and spotting and see if it works.

 

Because doing 12k (and quite literally nothing else) on a friggin tier 10, is practically nothing. It's so low that the game considers you to be afk. So yes, technically you're correct, you're not doing nothing. It's just that you're doing maybe 10% of what would even be considered as not afk.

Yes, you are doing someting, sabotaging your team. That is against the rules. And since you do it by playing passive, even the automated system catches you.

It is really anoying. Basicaly you need to know exactly what you need to do as a minimum to not get restricted for passive play.

Issue is.....I am a passive player. so this happens often to me. Really sucks

Hello! Actively participating in the battle is rather important when playing world of warships.
actively moving your ship, shooting guns and launching torpedoes are necessary tools to victory in our game, and I highly encourage you to start adapting such behavior. While we don't want to force players into playing a certain way - there is a line between playing how you want, and not actively contributing to the battle.

@Seraphiceplease look into this players behavior. intentional griefing and sabotaging games is against the TOS, but this is exactly what the user described above as their "playstyle".

If you see such behavior in game please be sure to report it to our customer service. If you are not sure that appropriate action was taken, please reach out to a Community Manager.
While I cannot comment on this case specifically, I can assure you proper action will be taken in cases of passive play.
