The first one is to play them like a DD, which usually is very good for the team, however will often not yield in good results for you due to simple fact that once you beat the enemy frontline, the backline usually runs away. The second way is to play them as a backline mauler, fully ignoring all enemy ships apart of the backline of capital ships, which will both annoy your team (as the enemy sub can run free too) as well as the recipients of your "love" and will usually yield good damage. So the problem is a class designed to "lone wolf" in a team game. Deep down much of the game is designed around selfish playstyles which I think is part of the reason why we don't usually get to see proper teamplay. Everyone is mindful of their own damage and kill score to the point of wrecking gameplay and even throwing the battle. Of the two alternatives you outlined, only the second makes actually sense in terms of submarine gameplay. If WG wanted to have subs in the randoms/coop, then they should have clearly opted to implement it in such a way that the second way becomes all but mandatory for the player to choose. This might have included the very interesting option of making the subs spawn somewhere behind the enemy team.

Well, if we are a communit,y then the dishonesty within can be rightfully called out If not, then who TF gives a crap about some (belo)russian company?? Yeah there you go. While consistency is preferable it can not always be maintained. And ultimately the CUSTOMERS (read: those that pay money) are the big indicator for what will and won´t be said and or done, NOT some overly loud but otherwise unprofitable bozos on the forum. And yes, I know public opinion can translate to sales. But then again you and some others here hardly form a majority and your influence is... next to non-existent, as far as I can see here. You´re neither crafty nor likeable in any way; all you got is an american-style "get me your manager" attitude which is best ignored. Lastly, and I´ve said this many times by now, if you really don´t care and or are unsatisfied you. just. leave. You don´t make big speeches, you don´t try to be some rebel leader, you just leave. Because if you stay in the game and or in the forum you validate what is being done simply by your presence. Forum attention -> visits to the website -> exposure. A basic click like this alone is worth money nowadays. And if you log into the game you are basically an active user, thus also contributing to activity statistics -> helping the game succeed. One can seek discussion with the developers and community managers, provided they are open and reachable enough for this. But at some point the discussion is over, for good or bad. All that counts then is PR, sales and overall reception. And you, as well as some like you, don´t make much of a dent here. At best you are annoying - and as far as I have experienced being obnoxious rarely helps getting people and or companies to do what you want unless you have a damn good case. And you don´t have that either. "rightfully"

Mind you I have over 3000 games on surface ships and I haven't experienced any issues with subs (and CVs too, but that's another story). And it's not like my positioning is always on top or even decent. 1

If we are community then I can call them out when they lie, when they do stupid things and eveytime they frakk up things. Like the idiot cousin of your wife. He is idiot alright, but he is family. Mandatory to be caried around, stupid as he is. But if we are NOT family then who TF gives a sh#t about a retarded idiot, those are at every street corner. I have no obligation towards them, not even to be nice. Unless I want to. But otherwise.... So If that is removed things will move to r/facepalm territory and the only obligation I have is towards my own fun. You got that "chief"?:) 1
[_UKW_] TycBrum Players 387 posts 8,680 battles Report post #80 Posted February 7 subs are able to ping far too often. A repair party can cancel one ping but within seconds you have more. They should be a much longer time between pings to give even a little chance to dodge. 3
