I dont really have any specific playstyle but have been the most interested in Slava, Ohio, Colbert and Vampire. Any recommendations which I should buy? [TF57] Fatal_Ramses Players 1,300 posts Report post #5 Posted February 5 You seem to favor Battleships and Large Cruisers. You might enjoy Ohio or Slava. Siegfried or Sevastopol might be a good choice also. I have Ohio and Siegfried. Ohio is a very good ship, Siegfried is not a bad ship but time has not been kind to her. [VICE] JohnMac79 Players 1,872 posts 18,680 battles Report post #8 Posted February 5 I finally unlocked enough RB points today to grab the Ohio. I already have the Slava, and it is a good ship and very very accurate, hence it fares better at range if that is your thing. Colbert i think has the highest AP and HE DPM of any cruiser in the game, it just takes some effort to play as its quite fragile.
[MIMI] Kruzenstern Beta Tester 1,133 posts 5,975 battles Report post #9 Posted February 6 I just got my first RB ship, and it was the Siegfried. That is the most unique one imho, and that is what attracts me. Then again I don't really play anything above tier8 other than in coop, so usefulness in PvP doesn't mean that much for me. If youre interested in BBs I can recommend Ohio. Never really loved playing BBs but after I got that one im actually enjoy playing it often. Other than that I would go for Vampire II next, seems like a good DD.

[WG] Seraphice WG Staff 1,664 posts 7,808 battles Report post #13 Posted February 6 To be fair, if there was only 1 ship I could play in world of warships, I might just pick colbert. The ship is just insanely fun. That kind of damage output, that kind of glass-cannon gameplay, that kind of skill ceiling is just crazy fun in this game, and I wholeheartedly would recommend her. Fair warning of course is that she is not the easiest to play, but if you get the hang of her she will treat you right. Of course a more consistent choice is Ohio, Plymouth or Vampire 2 for each of the classes, but none of them honestly live up to the experience that is playing a ship with 1 million damage per minute. I have all the RB ships, which I got in this order: Paolo Emilio > Colbert > Druid > Ohio > Vampire 2 > Slava > Siegfried > Gibraltar > Sevastopol > Hector A reasonable measure of how much I've enjoyed them is the average number of battles I've played per month in each of them, since buying them: Colbert (43) > Slava (38.5) > Ohio (19.6) > Gibraltar (18.7) > Hector (18) > Druid (13.5) > Sevastopol (11) > Vampire 2 (9.3) > Paolo Emilio (6.7) > Siegfried (6.5) This includes Randoms & Ranked, but not Dirigible Derbys or Grand Battles. Keep in mind though: Hector and Sevastopol are very new, so I played them often for a few days and then basically stopped. TL; DR: Colbert is the most fun imho.

The OP actually does OK in Moskva and, uh... not ok in Kurfürst, the rest doesn't have enough games to be relevant. Both ships aren't known to be agile Recommending the super lightest cruiser in the game isn't going to do him any favours. Yes, I agree, Colbert is super fun but honestly, I wouldn't know which ship to recommend, apart from maybe Slava as a trainer on how to aim with BBs, learning not to suicide early in the game. [RONIN] DDG_121 Players 791 posts 10,936 battles Report post #25 Posted February 11 I have Ohio, Colbert and Vampire. If you go with a BB, Ohio is the one to pick first. I don't have Slava, but played against many, and you can just angle to it. Whilst Ohio can punish ships hard with those 457's and also can start fires or do damage with secondaries. It has a Montana hull. Sturdy and good ship. Colbert, is the ship you get if you wan't to have real fun. Just click left mouse button and start the rain. occasionally try to dodge by either throttle or rudder. If you find a good island to shoot while hidden, it's a great barbeque show. Vampire, I wouldn't recommend. Daring for me is much, much better. And for Paolo, check what everyone says. One trick pony, I've never got blapped by one.
