Tulsa in open waters?

How does it do while open water kiting?

I saw it has pretty ridiculous firing angles to the back which is obviously a good thing.

Something like 17 kms with range mod is decent too (given its really good concealment).

Shell flight time is meh however, and there's a pretty long piece of citadel sticking out below the rear turret.

Opinions? Experiences?

Actually (I know) Yoshino is what I'm looking for, but I've already got 3 Japanese premiums and it would have been nice to get some other nation...

So, I thought I ask about this before making a final decision.

She's just 2/3rd of a Des Moines, I think that should answer whether she can be viable open water ship?

Assuming coal is the currency, I'd get Salem for just a little bit extra and get fully functional Des Moines class ship, though she is still not very suitable for open water shenanigans. Closer to that playstyle would be Carnot or Moskva perhaps, though latter needs a lot of care to not get caught broadside. But so does Yoshino

I did consider Carnot. But those 25 seconds of reload are a heavy turn off when it comes to it. If it had a reload booster, I would think about it another time...

Between Moskva and Yoshino, I'd rather pick the latter.

Tulsa is certainly not open water ship. For a limited time in-between islands you can fire your guns but after some time you need to get into conver.

Tulsa is a good bote but outclassed by a Salem, which becuase of the heal is better at open water play than a DM.   As soon as I got Salem I ditched DM, you can be more agressive and imho have more fun in a Salem.

Tulsa is great at open water in co ops but very squishy in anything else, she is  narrow though which does help.

If you don't need the radar range or hydro instead of dfaa and/or you don't fancy the legmod...
