Me:
What are the OP ships in world of warships?
ChatGTP:

"OP" stands for "overpowered" in gaming terminology. In World of Warships, "OP" ships refer to ships that are considered to be too strong or advantageous in comparison to other ships of the same tier.

As of my knowledge cut-off in 2021, some ships that were considered "OP" in World of Warships include:

  • Tier X American destroyer Grozovoi
  • Tier X Japanese destroyer Shima
  • Tier X Russian destroyer Khabarovsk

It's important to note that the strength and perceived overpoweredness of ships can change over time as the game is updated and balanced. Additionally, whether a ship is considered "OP" can also depend on the skill level of the player using it, the specific scenario and enemy ships in a match, and other factors.

Wargaming, the developer of World of Warships, continuously balances the game to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

You didn't read that the OP posted that Grozovoi is a TX American US DD, did you?

Personally think the OPness of ships highly depends on the situation allowing its main traits to be exploited. OP would suggest It can outperform other (similar) ships in most if not any situation or circumstance. You might argue certain ships are exceptionally good at particular aspects of the game due to their weaknesses being less important in the current meta however.

Take the Shima. High concealment value combined with good quality torps makes the Shima powerful, but I wouldn't say it's the best gunship around. So when it's actually hunted down properly or its targets are alert and use their hydro wisely, it generally can't make that big an impact and may even die quickly. There are some ships that have very specific weaknesses and can more easily play to their strengths due to those vulnerabilities not manifesting in the current meta that much.

I did.

And unlike you and that other guy, I the understand the intended irony in that statement.

I guess this applies to you as well then:

You're a bright one, aren't you.

Omfg.

imho no DD is overpowered, put an “a” typical brain dead player into a Ragnar and a good one in anything else (T10), and the Ragnars gonna get thrashed.   Shimi overpowered 😂🤣😂, Radar Yewey says hi😏,

Smaland, Ragnar,Druid, Sherman and to a lesser extent Black (no longer all in the hands of good players) are DDs we’d rather not meet but very beatable eg, Sherman has crap torps and poor stealth it can easily be killed before it fires a shot, which gives us THE most important aspect which WG have well and truly screwed up on ; player ability, it used to be derpitz recently it was smack the black,  we can all see it here on the forum and in game player ability is bad, really bad, so yes some are stronger in some ways but there’s none that are op, at least until the next branch of Russian DDs.

Probably explains the mixed up port carousel icons in the game.

And we all thought is was players having Jingles as a commander. :Smile-_tongue:

ChatGTP is A.I. based so I wouldn't expect accuracy from anything it had to say.

Khaba is certainly OP!

Does anyone know when she was last played?  Was is in 2022 or 2021?

ChatGPT reflects the most commonly shared opinions, so:

"As of my knowledge cut-off in 2021, the most "OP" ships in World of Warships include:

1. Grosser Kuerfurst - largest HP pool, godlike secondaries, 12 main guns, godlike armor (if shot at center of mass, which is the default practice). King of coops*, much exp, high credit gain. Basically, 'I win button'. Free upgrade from 42% to 68% W/R.

* also indispensable for all circus modes, e.g. airship escort."

So, AI is a bot.

Khabarovsk was so blatantly OP when it was launched, that it took nerfs after nerfs to fix it.

The other 2 were never OP.

I'm positively convinced I've played her a bit in 2022, so there's that :cap_book:

Ah, so you don't have me on ignore despite stating you did (and subsequently attempting frequent character attacks, as you do now).

Hook. Bait. Sunk.

You're a bright one, aren't you?

There are still people that play it. Even more, there are some "very bright" individuals that are new to the game and buy it for coal.... Yes. :cap_fainting:

I do, but i can also choose to see messages. I had a sneaking suspicion that you would answer me, because I recognize your type from otherwhere on the internet - You are the type that needs to argue in order to be "right", even when the discussion is quite unimportant against complete strangers.

Which turned out to be the case here as well, you latch onto my reply which had already quite little to do with the topic, and you try to declare a "victory" from another thread with your hook-bait comment. Why on earth you are that vigilant about emerging victorious on whatever obscure forum debate you participate in, I have no idea.

It's quite telling though, and I see that I was more than justified in putting you on ignore to begin with.

TL;DR: Try to behave properly and politely.

Soooooo you put me on ignore, then read messages anyway because... vigilance? And what am I to you? A complete stranger. And you have the need to "win" by somehow proving you're above me. You're not. So pot, kettle?

Thing is, I had the sneaking suspicion that you're incapable of letting things go, given that after putting someone on ignore you kept posting messages directed at me. And that turned out to be quite right.

I know your type as well though. You're the type of debater who wants to win without argument and just reduces everything to insults and unfounded dismissals.

Quote

TL;DR: Try to behave properly and politely.

Try following your own advice. Once. I don't think you have it in you though. The very first thing you did in the other debate was insult. Every post since you've been insulting or trying to attack someone's character, never engaging any arguments. Either avoiding answering, or simply returning an insult. And not just to me, I see you do this on multiple occassions. You're a very negative poster in that regard, trying to prove your superiority over others by deriding others.

Mostly the sign of a very weak and insecure debater. Maybe evaluate yourself honestly once. I don't think you have that in you either. Get over yourself, you're not special. You're just another a human. Just one that doesn't mind resorting to insulting immediately instead of debating.

And for the record, yes, I enjoy debate. I will also take the courtesy of nuanced, long posts that are quickly TLDR for people with lacking attentionspan or no interest in actual, honest debate. Hint: people who don't engage in debate are often (not always, sometimes it's due to time constraints or some such) not just convinced they are right, they don't even want to risk checking if or hearing whether they're actually in the wrong. You included given your style of responding to others. Fine, says enough about your preconceptions.

Unlike you, I have the capacity to admit it when I'm wrong. You just go "how's this relevant, I refuse to answer this thing exposing my double standard and put you on ignore!". Boohoo. Grow up. And with that, I'm done talking to you, you're on ignore. And unlike you, I will not post at you, about you, or engage with you anymore. That's called "letting it go".
