a word of some skills ....aimbot is cheating because it gives to much info where to lead ......but a skill who give you a warning that a salvo of 4 or more km a shot is fired is not cheating ???an experenced player abuse that skill till the last....if you are in battle and you shoot of 20  km a full broadside yoshino the moment you fire he will turn and all your shots miss....remove that pesky skill its same as cheating .....same as rpf same [edited] if you go on smoke it means you want to go dark not that an enemy get information if you are moving or stopping and can see wich direction you come from or will go......and aimbot is not allowed what is the diffrence ?????the lead is not always 100% sure for a hit because the shipt can turn and change speed....my opinion about some skills the 4km salvo warning indicator should be allowed in lower tiers for help for new comers but in t8,9,10 its should be off......... i dont use that skill because i learned to use my camera too look around and see the shells incoming and than manouvre.....in the higher tiers you learn to play without it.

You are aware that a player does not need that skill to avoid a 20km salvo?

And when smoke does not move, one does not need RPF to know that the target is still in smoke.

Especially not if they happen to be firing their guns while inside said smoke. Easier even still if they stay stationary doing so.

Experienced players do not vaste points on useless skils like that. They are most of time in good position towards enemies and not giving broadside.

Or at the very least not staying on the same course for long..

Exactly.

At long ranges even small adjustments to your course and speed can make shells land nowhere near you after all.

My powers of divination tell me you're a highly unsuccessful BB main. Does that sound about right?

i am more than aware of that shipsm8te but my point is if they aim the other direction and you shoot at them and the moment you shoot they turn out every shot because of the indicator......than in my eyes thats the same as some sort of cheating ^^ in higher levels you can play without the indicator and use your ship cam in the end it makes you better player because you are more envirment aware than ^^

i know the moment they turn or alter speed your lead could be total wrong ......but i noticed with ships aiming other direction and focused there too because i am in the dark before i shoot.....the moment i shoot they start turning .....and yes i do ask some times if theyt have the warning indicator skill and 75% said yes on that moment

If you have the experience, why do you blames the misses on that skill?

The skill levels the playing field between the cruisers and the useless long range sniper BBs. Imagine if these :etc_swear: would additionally get rewarded for their gameplay when they blap unwary CAs from a distance, you'd need to invent the H line for them.

Are you sure, such players have Incoming Fire Alert skill? Maybe they just pay attention to ships, that can endanger them.

I always check enemy battleships and their locations, if salvo of shells is coming towards me.

And I am not much good player. :Smile_honoring:

incoming fire from long distance is easily spotted. For example while I'm in combat I always take a look to what happens around me. And if I have spotted + aimed icon I'm aware that a bad guy is probably firing to me so always keep an eye in the sky...

With the captain skill rework, at rank 21 there's usually a single point spare for most cruiser builds. Light cruiser captains especially use that last point for incoming fire alert. But it's not necessary at all. Decent players can use Priority target info to know how many enemies are targeting them and use right mouse (rotate camera) to see who is pointing their guns at them, and act accordingly.

As for RPF yes, it can give you a lot of info, but it's a 4 points skill and if you spec it you may have to renounce to equally important 3 or 4 pts skills like IFHE or SE.

Fair enough.

But that skill provides, lets say better ,,protection´´ from enemy fire for those players. Kind of. There is still RNG in this game.

That skill doesn´t hurt you.

It is similar the way Hydroacoustic Search provides better ,,protection´´ from torpedoes. It gives time to evade.

I am DD player. Could I please complain, that I can´t hit with torpedoes, because everybody has Hydro? :Smile_teethhappy:

Ok. I don´t think it will work.

Sorry, but  Incoming Fire Alert not that great. You can really substitute it with your own situational awareness. That is what experience players do.:Smile_honoring:

This.  That having been said, at least imho, priority target is worth taking as that actually alerts you to how many are aiming *at* you rather than just let you know when the shells are in the air.

At which point, depending on the ship, the range, and the caliber of the shells coming your way, it may already be too late.

As I said, one does not need an indicator for that. Free-view is enough to spot shells in time.

It helps against unexpected potshots from across the map, say, through a gap in the mountains. If you play superlight cruisers, say, Colbert, Memetaur or somesuch, it's a highly valueable and appreciated skill. Even for ok'ish players.

Oh yes. I agree. I can see a potential of this skill on cruisers, although I personally prefer Priority Target instead.

I found number of main batteries aiming on me more important than warning someone is shooting you.

But that is just me. Let everyone picks what suits him. :Smile_honoring:

Seems like more a skill issue. Hidden profile and 46% clan average tells me enough.
