this should be banned in the game,

sometimes i see a player chatting to someone....press Jam.

so what's happening ?

the player i attack uses Jam, that is, his ship becomes invisible to the CV players.

but I can see a jaming ship, with a sub I play with. the enemy ship Jam uses will be black with dots.

I once played the game with Battleship Fleet Command in this game you can jam your own fleet, which is what happens in world of warships, so that the CV players can't attack the enemy ships.

I don't think it's fair at all the CV players could also use jam but they don't get that

Normally I can with at least some form of accuracy decipher your threads. This time though I'm at a complete loss, can you give us some form of clue @DEEP_SHARKS?

Become invisible to CV. How can I learn such skill? I could really use this in my destroyer. :Smile_hiding:

Sadly (for me), there are no jamming abilities, that could save you from planes.

Black with dot. Hmm. This is not spotted ship (destroyer), but it is seen as image (shadow), because submarine is using Hydrophone consumable. Is that, what you mean?

Otherwise I don´t know.

Could you post a screenshot of ship jamming? I am curious, what that could be.

This has to be some sort of Cicada 3301 riddle.

yes

I see. I am glad, we figured it out.:Smile_Default:

Here is wiki article about that consumable - Hydrophone

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Consumables#Hydrophone

Submerged submarine can highlight invisible (not spotted) surface targets (surface submarine too) in range of Hydrophone.

Such target is not visible for other players. However other players can only see his position on minimap. So if highlighted target is moving, minimap position is moving too (every 6 or 4 seconds).

Such target can be visible for others only by standard ways - ship or plane has to reach his concealment range.

Hydrophone sends sonar pulse every 6 seconds (4 on British subs). Target is highlighted for 4 seconds, but only his last position. So for example 2 sec after he is highlighted, he is in fact some distance away, but image remains in same place. Such target can be hit by sonar pulse, but submarine player must estimate his right position. So it is tricky.

And this is game mechanic. Made by WG. No jamming, I´m afraid. :Smile_honoring:

Maybe we should introduce him to FastMotion and so how those two get on?

This could be dangerous:

"When two neutron stars orbit each other closely, they gradually spiral inward due to gravitational radiation. When the two neutron stars meet, their merger leads to the formation of either a more massive neutron star, or a black hole (depending on whether the mass of the remnant exceeds the Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff limit)." So basically what I got out of this confusion is that there are mechanics already functional for submarines that could be used to change aircraft spotting to make it less broken.

We already asked @Seraphice to consider letting CVs spot only on the minimap - I understand they tried it and didn't follow up on this.

Reasons? None given, but considering someone higher up also implemented the automatic ASW for carriers, I assume that special someone is not much in favour of any changes to his protected class.
