I don't understand the meme. The guy has a bit of difficulty getting his point across. You can't farm deto signals anymore these days as WG changed the rewards for achievements I believe. Care to explain?

Nobody does that, but it's more of a running gag surrounding the existence of the detonation game mechanism and getting at least some flags for it as a consolation price - which isn't a thing anymore.

Even if you yolo your DD, you can't exactly guarantee a detonation, not even 10% of the time. And even if you could, you would farm, what, 10 each day? The guy was grasping at straws to explain yoloers...or to justify the removal of flags for achievements, period.

In some clans I was in people openly admitted to not taking the signal and going lower tier to try to die to detonations so they can have signals for CBs and similar

That guys was making sh*t up live on stream, large amount of players deliberately throwing thier ships away to fram detonation flags. No, those are just your clueless average players yolo every game. Even if it was so, why remove flags from other much harder to earn achievements?

 

He can't came out and say WG want players to spend thier credits and get less free stuff. So its out with standard blaming the player base.

Do those people have lives outside this game? It's much quicker to play few premium ships to earn the credits for flags than try to farm RNG, considering it takes a long time to get a game in lower tiers. 

 

You can even farm credits for flags quicker in co op!

True. These people just didn't care. It's the reason why I left these clans. Mind you this was years in the past. It's sad but true, these people existed back in the day.
