noob question on Ranked league progress

I've made this in Bronze

 

 

Of course it is clear what I need to do to compete Bronze, 15 victories.

 

BUT have they changed something to achieve Silver? Will it automatically open after my 15th victory, or do I need a straight series of victories still in Bronze?

no, those are only the rewards you can earn during Bronze, as stated in the bottom of your screenshot (of the REWARD tab)...you will still need stars and pass the qualification to reach Silver League...

Also keep in mind that the Silver qualifications are done in Silver matchmaking, in terms of tiers and players.
