Also consider that the BP rewards have replaced the free rewards we used to get from the daily and weekly combat missions.

How the free BP rewards compare to previous I don’t know.

Before spending the 2500db don’t forget that it only paying for the 2nd line of rewards.

Which would have been fine if it would have been announced* as such, or even better if people could have experienced it like this before.

Just imagine the two scenarios:

A1. You decide internally that the regular BP length is 4 weeks for 2500 dubs.

A2. You announce multiple time that the regular BP length is 4 weeks for 2500 dubs before the first BP starts and with each new BP (because new or returning players will usually not look up old articles).

A3. You have a couple of regular BP's running before X-mas.

A4. For the X-mas BP you announce that it will run for a generous 6 weeks instead of 4 for just the same 2500 dubs.

B1. You decide internally that the regular BP length is 4 weeks for 2500 dubs.

B2. You have one BP running for 5 weeks and the X-mas one running for 6 weeks, all for 2500 dubs, both without mentioning their "irregular" lengths.

B3. The next BP ist the first "regular" one and people are of course irritated and angry because it is now "just" 4 weeks for 2500 dubs.

B4. You retroactively announce* that the regular duration of a BP is 4 weeks for 2500 dubs and that the previous ones had been exceptions to the rule.

Which one of the two scenarious would have people praising your generosity and which one will leave a sour taste?

* I do not claim that it has not been announced at least once that the regular pass is 4 weeks, but even if it was I do not remember it.

And another proof, that WG couldn't sell a glass water in the desert...

Not even one supercontainer? Excitement levels extremely low. Make a battlepass container and feature those permanently on future battle pass. The chance of getting something cool would do it. Tech tree ship doesn't.

Why even bother with BP?

Battle Pass rewards used to be an ok'ish value for the dubs, even more if you got a good chunk of the overflow rewards. Just look at the sheer amount of trash port queens you can aquire for dubs, so basically you're almost always better off getting a battle pass instead.

Now they realized they offered too good value for dubs in their eyes and try to stop bleeding "valueable items"

Im sorry people, but the pattern is ALWAYS the same. Offer tokens and rewards. Squeeze next iteration of rewards to see what they can get away with and how much milk this herd of cows produces. Rewards gets more worthless and milk dries up. Introduce next token system.

Are you surprised? If so, wake the f up, it's been going on for years already.

I'm pretty sure the good-value-for-money of the 1st battle pass was deliberate.

Bait the player-base with something big, fat & juicy and then put the rewards on a diet to see who'll still bite.

For example, when the first BP was announced, did anyone think that all subsequent premium BPs would have a premium T7 ship as a final reward?

It was kinda fishy from the start.

Instead of opening my wallet for this WoWs BP, i am going to spend it on the new BP for Enlisted (Gaijin :cap_money:)
Agreed, both Companies are doing the same scammy stuff, but hey, a change of game can do wonders.

Got a bit :Smile_sceptic: after grinding all the Christmas/NY's "snowflakes".

Better luck next time WG. (or not)

I did open my wallet this time, did not expect the disappearance of coal and steel, my bad had to check better. I want one more ship form WG, when that is the case my wallet stay closed (except for, maybe, Dutch ships).  But when my targeted ship is in my harbour. Closed wallet indeed.

Re: Enlisted. Same here, spendet more money on Enlisted recently. Nice game, fun to play. Different. Indeed both companies are scammy, but at least form Gajin you don't get empty promesses.

And here we go, full FOUR DAYS after the BattlePass actual launch we get the article with clear to see full summary of rewards. So i guess four days is the magical number, where they hope people kept in the dark with less information and comparisons will bite and buy.

Well played Wargambling.

For comparison, the previous Battle Pass dropped on 8.12.2022 and we got the full comparison article a day BEFORE the launch.
