Unable to handle application files

Hey everyone, so yesterday, after coming from from exams, I decided to complete the BP (3 points left to level 60) and grab the prizes when the game started downloading the upcoming update (despite having it disabled in WGC). During the download, an error appeared and I could not run the game. I tried to check and repair the game - wasnt working either. I uninstalled the game and tried to install it but again, error "unable to handle application files" (the whole direction ends with res_packages) appeared. I tried to restart it several times, but each time after reaching 17.8 GB to install, this error appears. I tried to reinstall the WGC, but that did not helped either. Im really hopeless, today is the last day I can finish BP (couldnt do it sooner due to exams), but Im still getting that stupid error. Does anyone have an idea how could I solve this?

Try to install it on a different drive? Might work but I'm not sure. I have the game installed on an external SSD which is quick enough and connected via USB 3.0 and the game runs pretty good on it.
