I cant find it anywhere, can somebody put here what is the list of the Rare ships. From the tab in the collection in the game.

Also what makes a ship rare?

I see that lets say WG thinks Graf Spee is a rare ship, i dont think its a rare ship.

Anyway if you have any list please post it here, thanks.

Rare is a marketing tool to create artificial scarcity in order to have customers buy into lootboxes because whale, junkie or gambler.

 

I think you can only find it relevant under inventory.

 

Graf Spee indeed is not rare. But marketing dep. Etc.

So true, WG was giving the Graf Spee as free in Ordin dockyard. But once removed from sales, it's a super rare ship like the Belfast and Enterprise LOL!

The fact that she was withdrawn from sale, be that for dubs (like Haida), coal (Smolensk) or FXP (Alaska).

 

There are some exceptions, though:

• Black (Tier 9, used to be for steel, now coal but with a surcharge) is still available in the Armory, but she's in the "Tier X or rare" list
• of the dockyard ships, Odin and Hizen are in the rare list as far as Santa crates are concerned, but Atlantico, Marlborough, D7P and ZF-6 are not.

Dockyards are unobtainable (except PR that was relaunched in the DY before this one) but most of them are not really rare just crap so hardly anyone plays them

thats what i am talking about how graf spee can be the same as enterprise or belfast?

I meant without gamble, all od the above are obtainable in boxes of one sort or another

the mentioned ships are also available in SCs...

 

or which other source do we have for Benham, Belfast,... ? Especially: which containers can drop the Nikolai ?

I'm working, so can't double-check, but I think you can get at it via the captains log bit of the in-game drop-down from your account name (upper left of the port screen); I think there's a 'ships' sub-section and all the premiums and rare (and 'other') ships are in there...

According to WoWs (The Captain's Logbook) there are 14 rare ships available today (only via santa boxes of course), one ship is completely unavailable: Arkansas Beta and not even listed.  Ships: Kamikaze R, Fujin, Kamikaze, Musashi, Benham, Missouri, Gremy, Kutuzov, Kronshtadt, Nikolai I, König Albert, Belfast, Giulio Cesare, Vampire. Some of them are great ships, some are powercrept today... But rare for pixelbarge collectors and whales :).  I'm glad that I've been playing intensively for 7 years, so I got most of the ships during the game (FXP, grind) or bought some at normal prices in the store. Four of them from boxes.

but for rare ships only ships you own are listed there, missing ships are not shown...only for 'standard' premium/specials ships the missing ones are also shown...

 

(it is the same for the uncommon ships like ARP ships...)

Nikolai I is not in the list for Santa boxes nor in that for Supercontainers.

 

On the other hand, Champagne is not available for sale but she's in the Tier 8-9 ship list, not the Tier 10/rare one: she's the "semi-rare" one, while a Smaland should be just as common a drop as a Belfast, for instance.

There is a "tier 10 or Rare Ship" list in the lootbox list of available drops

so I guess everthing that isnt tier 10 is "rare" along with all the tier 10:s on the list that are no longer available

I have read some replies on your OP, but below mentioned article should show you the list of ships (rare, etc..)

Ships which can't be acquired anymore directly for dubloons, FXP or other resources should be considered indeed as rare (and only obtainable through certain crates).

Nikolai 1 has been removed from the list of obtainable ships on the EU server as mentioned in one of the Xmas articles (maybe in my link?). As such the players who got it are the lucky ones.
