I don't think I've ever bought a port slot. Running out was only ever a problem at the start of my WoWS career when it's quick & easy to unlock low tier ships. Also, sell mid tier trash, too. Really, I don't get the OCD ship collecting mania - I know people with 500 ships, and he's entirely incompetent with every single one of them. Just play what's fun, by all means, keep some low tier stuff you enjoy if that's your thing and maybe, maybe, keep T5+ ships for snowflakes. But if you are new; make sure to check the "More credits" containers. They have a chance of dropping port slots. So if youre short, they are an amazing opportunity to get that sorted. And regular activity will slowly help expand your port size aswell. It used to be around 20% for the credit container, 5% for signal and coal. Now 0, 0 and 0. So i guess it did become a lot harder to obtain port slot outside of just playing. The best way was the old mission chains, haven't played that much lately to have any idea if it's the same with the battlepass or if they've made port slots harder to get for free.
