Operations - Do bots feel different?

Hello,

Tinfoil hats out everyone.

Bots that before held position on the map somewhere are now seeking you out.

Noticed in Aegis, where bots come crashing down south if you struggle. Before they camped further north. Or In Narai, where bots  now all rush at you from the harbor (they are killing liberty ships outside harbor now)

But I notice that the bots have changed in last few weeks in operations.

They got engine super mod. They start and accelerate car line now. I am using torp bombers mostly and it really pop out for me.

I also am pretty positive I seen bots doing this calculations with hard stops and acceleration the moment I drop my torps near them.

I feel like they do feel different.  Anyone?

Why don't you ask them if they feel different and want to start a revolution?

We're aware of bot behavior issues on Aegis. If you have replays that would be good.

For other operations, if you see any issues please detail them

With the very annoying auto Torp avoidance, near instant turret traverse and manoeuvrability bots already had a helping hand and with buffs they now charge in less, in doing so they now look a lot better than most of the player base especially noobs with low point commanders.  That’s what WG did and obviously what WG  wants.

Bots in operation go really out of their league to avoid plane's attacks, making crazy turns and sudden stops just to screw up the attacking planes (while giving careless broadside to all BB in your team.. )
Also every single CA has fighters consumable immediately popping up to further screw up CV players, but they eat torps in the face without even trying to dodge from anyone else.. so balanced.

Not sure. The reinforcement Nurnberg which spawns in Killer Whale in the N seems to go a-wandering away from the players more often than not.

The Narai ships ambushing the convoy always happened, and its more noticeable now because Cleveland is tougher than Dallas, the DDs have been upgraded, and they need more attention if they're not to sink the convoy.

Raptor ships seem to do what they always did, and I haven't noticed much difference in the other Ops.

I think that's down to early dropped torps. If they detect them they will dodge, you need put them right under their nose.

The difference between b0ts and some players became more difficult to spot... :Smile_trollface:

It's amazing what difference unselecting the target ship just before firing torpedoes feeling like it has to your chance of hitting them, in my limited unscientific opinion? Almost like it's just hardcoded from the white line and target you are locked onto when you fire?

Not really, bots are better than most people playing operations. 1 lose out of 3 operation games due to players can't/don't want to play the objectives.

Yeah but that used to be only 1 in 5.

I am pretty sure that you are aware for any issues in any other operation too. And the whole "game" issues. The current status is more issues than smooth game.

So, stop asking from us doing your job and start fixing the issues.

That.

I am droping them point blank with CV. They are hard breaking and speading up the moment I release them. The breaking and acceleration is very noticeable (out of place, not possible for normal player even with engine mod).

That.

We are already investigating and testing the scenarios, but our QA is limited compared to the thousands of players that play our game, which can help us even further in finding more obscure issues and gathering additional data, thus we often ask the community to assist us in fixing these bugs by providing us the data to work on them.

Oh OK...

So you admit that quality control/testing is non existent in the company.

And please name at least 2 instances that you there at WeGreedy took consideration the community input.

He didn't say that. He said that a large portion of bug spotting is done by players (in test). Which is normal for a game company as it saves on time and cost.

QA can do only so much.

I can name way more than that, some for the better (a lot of UI improvements), some for the worse (BB whining especially). You're clearly frustrated, but get a hold of yourself, you're being extremely rude.

Figment already pointed it out, but I did not say that it is non-existent, just that thousands of players can find more bugs simply because we dont have thousands of QA guys who play the game every day.

And let's name some then.
Various submarine changes where we changed various things according to community feedback including: ASW for (almost) all ships, additional visual indicators, heavy reductions to homing mechanics, various other buffs and nerfs to make playing as and against submarines better.

Letting you choose the next map:

Being transparent about drop rates and random mechanics

Balance changes to popular community ships such as Zao, FDR, Yueyang, Petro etc.

New snowflake system.

Operations rework

And we can go on for a while longer.

@Seraphice

I know you are the front man. I respect that.

Since WG took the effort to reintroduce OPS, I figure you see that a lot of players play them and that they have potential. We are not asking much ... just so your devs fix the frustrating ones...

We all want bug free (stress free) ops .. that's why I am making this posts and tagging you. Maybe you can forward this issues to the correct dev team who is working on ops.

The other way is to ignore and not care. That's the easy way. I also don't want to raise tickets and report bugs, because I did it numerous times, yet most of them were never addressed.
