[RODS] Ronchabale Players 3,002 posts 10,002 battles Report post #1 Posted January 6 I have a lot of coal I Dont play much tier 9-11 (Ok I did play my Musashi today grinding potential damage for the Dido/Canarias mission) I dont like CV:s Is there anything worth getting cos it sure doesn´t look like it, Should I save the coal for possible future releases of new ships, anyone heard of any upcoming ships for coal ? Tulsa is supposed to be a Des Moines with 1/3 less barrels, as someone who really enjoys their Salem that sounds intriguing, but since i don't have Tulsa i can't really give you anything solid on her. I would very much advice you to pick up the 2 Tier 3's (Campbeltown and Charleston) however. They don't cost you any money if you buy them for Coal and having them removes them from the potential drop pool of supercontainers and any other containers that can drop ships that include these 2 in their drop pool. Basically, if you buy them for coal now, you are not screwing yourself out of a more valuable ship (ie, one that cost actual cash) in a future container drop. IIRC, these low-tier ships are neither in christmas nor super containers. Therefore, this advice results in a waste of coal. Personally, I would buy the tier 10 first. The 175k or the cheaper 35k that get overlooked but also have nice passive buffs like improved HP for DDs etc that make them well worth having if you really like one ship they could play on? Well you said you don't like CVs, else I'd have pointed at Malta. I'm having good fun with my Tulsa. It's basically a baby Des Moines with premium economy. But if you have DM and/or Salem (and you apparently have at least the latter), you don't really need Tulsa. Maybe grab Campbeltown, just for the history of the ship. I have Tulsa and did really like it a lot and then I got Salem, as a result DM got sold and Tulsa sits in port. Yes it’s good but Salem’s oh so much better.
