Sorry but wtf is going on in Random Scenarios????, just played Aegis and the Bots just sail away and the  Shchors and Fletcher just ram the island????

@Seraphice please take a look

The Bot AI is not well programmed and seems to be unstable.

From time to time it does hang and produces such behaviour.

WG is well aware of the shortcomings but there is no plan or concept (nor interest) for further rework.

Why should they ? They just executed a very successful Operations rework a few patches ago ... with pats on the back and champagne all around ...

We're aware of issues with bot behavior, especially presenting themselves in Aegis, though not exclusively.

We're looking into the issue right now.

Since about two years You were looking into to issues with bot AI and I see few improvements ...

In coop it's old news. In operations, not really, actually. (Although there is that one DD right at the start of Narai.)

Right, this is another example. From previous versions I remember the Raptor, which, in addition to running aground on islands, had the virtue of blocking herself in the middle of the sea. Since the rework she navigates as a zombie and due to her low tier she is a prio target of the red bots.

The running aground of Raptor apparently only happened when some of the cruisers got too close to it. At least that's what I've been told from people with much more experience than me. And from the only time it happened to me personally, I can confirm that. Other than that, I never really had problems with Raptor AI. Be it old version or post rework.

Please nerf AI. DD's sailing in a straight line popping smoke without slowing is too difficult for your average WOWs player.

Tbh you could remove all AI and some players would still manage to lose the Op

What bugs me about this scenario in particular is the pin-point accuracy the bots seem to have on this. Theres no other scenario in which they shoot this precise and consequently deal impressive amounts of damage. I mean... just compare their accuracy in Aegis with their accuracy in an average coop battle or other scenarios. Worlds apart.

Can confirm.

 

At start bots turned away.

Friendly transport ships blobbed up.

Schorsh and Fletcher grounded for the entire match.

Several second wave cruisers grounded for the entire match.

Fourth wave cruisers rushed down the east border to kill the transport ships.

 

This is not normal for Aegis.

I've yet to see this bug in Aegis tbh (first wave going East) - only one I noticed a couple of times (but rarely) is the 2nd wave beaching or turning in too soon.

Haven't seen the allied bots getting stuck yet.

 

I wonder if player behaviour messes with the AI behaviour; maybe the players' manoeuvres are so bad that the AI breaks. :Smile_trollface:

I managed to ram the Schors an get it moving again but it went to the wrong area

As did the transports...

A common thing in all those screenshots seem to be a lot of idiots players going behind the first island South. :cap_hmm:
 

Makes me believe the below even more tbh.

Yes, as you can see in the first shot several ships went south, I bet that is what triggers the bot-fails..

Seen many Aegis plays, before and post rework both, with players doing that. Never saw what people have been reporting here. So if that would trigger it, it would have to be something very new.

If bots behave based on certain player actions than that is a good news.

It means that ops could be dynamically programmed based on player actions / status and not just predetermined from the start :)

Here is another one..

 

Friendly BB:s waiting near the exit instead of engaging/sinking the Myokos so the bot convoy follows the Myokos south instead of heading for the exit
