Yeah, true. I had a random T8 game today with a "hero" in Atlanta. He was happy to announce at the start he is going forward in the middle to gain potential damage. And asked team to wish him good luck.

I think I will be chat banned after I wrote my version of "Bravo Zulu" signal for him.

Hello,

I`m currently dealing with that 28.000.000 potential damage for cruisers aswell, doing it in randoms. Since I do not have much choice (don´t have that many cruiser lines and currently at tier VI, VII and VIII), progress is very slowly. I tried it with the Shchors, but I don`t feel like I am achieving much with this ship in that regard.

 

And honestly, I think it´s one of the most stupid missions I have ever experienced so far. All other missions are grindable, but that one ...

 

Is it easier in Co-Op? I have a Hipper in my port, but did not touch it till now. I do not want to waste a full week just grinding out one mission ...

Co-Op is easier.    

 

Hipper is better then Shchors for this as well.    Best thing to do is fire early so spotted and likely to draw attention from bots.

 

Having played several years then now have 380 ships so usually can find ships for each type of mission these days.

 

I did mine personally in the Henri IV which have Lighthouse Build for.

Finished with Napoli which also a good choice, however depends if have the Coal or not

Generally speaking, the tankiest and largest hp pool ship will do the job easier than others. Yesterday I had to grind the 11 mil potential for the Dido/Canarias mission. Before that, my GK was holding the record with 3.8 mil potential damage.

Now I have this:

I have to mention, I had Kuznetsov at the helm, and his talent was triggered, beside the 4 repair parties.

 

 

Cruiser-wise, for the Dockyard mission, I would say one can go with Moskva and/or Napoli. Just stay at some distance, not too close (but not too far either so they don't lose interest in you), reversing, angled to 2-3 BBs pushing toward you (preferably German ones as they are a bit more imprecise... and preferably not Slava). :)

I do all missions in Randoms, and when I actually pay attention too PD (potential damage) most of the time i'm around 1.5 too 2 mil in my cruisers.

Have the occasion (Goliath with heal does tricks) 3.0mil potential battles.

The higher the tier, the more potential damage as well, so maybe avoid those tiers below 8 for such missions unless you're grinding anyway.

 

I don't understand how you cannot have around 0.8M to 2M potential damage in your ships though, unless you're going for stealth shooting from safety or are prone to die quickly by overextending or showing too much broadside?

Thank you for your suggestions, will try the Hipper in Co-Op. Thing is, the more ships you have the more choices you have for those types of missions.

Most of the time I am supporting the BB´s on the team, they take the hits and I support with Hydro/defensive AA and farm damage. Not much into sailing forward and die quickly ...
