Bot DDs ram each other at beginning of game

I was not aware that this is actually a thing.. like, really? What would be the reason to implement such an action? Maybe so that the team that kills the charging enemy yolo DD first gets to keep its Bot?

They've been doing this for ages now. Easiest solution is to kill the bot DD before this happens.

It's actually weirder to NOT see it happen. I remember having a good laugh when WG proudly proclaimed the new and improved bot AI to not be so prone to ramming or beaching anymore. Only to see, if anything, an increase in both.

Part of it is clearly that bots always react to torps, even when there's a island in the way. Also it's not that hard to see bots being programmed to react in a certain way in a situation like that and it being precisely the wrong way.

 

Mind you I much prefer this to the previous versions where they'd sit perfectly still at point blank range to each other..
