How does one play the congress

I like the congress it looks ridiculous with the gun set up and seems funky. However I am appalling with it, I struggle with the lack of range and the vile mechanic of over-penning everything with the heavy AP. Also I lose most 1v1 with cruisers because of the lack of fire prev and the 2 second reload it feels like on every cruiser. Any tips?

Do you have alaska?
It's basically a toned down alaska.

Also FP is a hard downside that supercruiser have to deal with to be balanced. Alaska, Azuma, Agir, Carnot, Kronstad, Puerto Rico, Siegfried, Stalingrad, Sevastapol. Did i forget one? (Yes Shroder)

It super sucks but oh well. 

 

Just dont play too agressive and use island waifus unless you do kite build.

Hope the enemy shows you constant broadside or is a floating citadel while he has 0 RNG in regards to dispersion and fire chance.

Had one game in it so far, 63000 damage with great PR 2500+. It's alright and quite a tough nut to crack at tier 8 which means that its usable at higher teirs. Never underestimate radar and its heavy auto AP can make a mess of broadside targets or slightly angled. It has the tools to do well. 

 

It's alright and is doing well in the overall stats at the moment (top third).  I think it's a decent all round ship, with strengths and weakness. 

 

It's extremely tough at tier 8 with the most HP of any other cruiser at that tier AND it has a heal! 

 

So use that armour and HP. It's guns can hit hard but the rate of fire is pants and long range snips isn't going to go well. It's looking for that broadside target to slap. Some games you will have them plenty, some you won't. 

 

After my first game in her, I liked it. The tankiness, auto heavy AP and gimmicks makes her more than useable in the right hands. 

 

She is not a beginner ship or for people looking for raw damage numbers every game. But remember, you don't need them to actually win games.

High tier Dutch cruisers too. For... reasons, I guess.

Thats so through. Even Alaska can take 15k/salvo to the superstructure at any range and angle from a BB with good RNG.

 

Somehow supercruisers got much worse without being nerfed, because of new additions, in particular much more 30mm overmatch and bursts from supercruisers.
