Port slots currently at 50% :)

Not sure if it's been stated in the news yet, and it's been highly anticipated during these weeks... but the time is now, for anyone interested. :)

I would have to ask why buy them? Unless you are a hard core collector?

 

With early access events giving lots with ship and BP giving 4 per month free, do you not get lots of slots now reactively easily? If you are willing to sell lower level tech tree ships you dont love? (that you will not play anyway, as you will not have captains on them...?)

Not like a lot of us are swimming in them due to all the stuff that's given free port slots recently or something..

That having been said, there's also a +200% bonus for first win of the day active, and that's nice..

A port slot is a seamen's friend. Free's better than pricy, 50% is still good too. I used to need them more in the early days, not so much now.

So out of curiosity..just how many empty port slots do folks have? Just checked and turns out I have a grand total of 110 (despite having 330 ships)

207 ships and 65 vacant ports I think.

I think the BP and the monthly missions before barely keep up with the new lines that come out of early access: I keep all my Tier 5+ tech-tree ships and I have basically no free slots unless I've reset a line for the Research Bureau. I haven't bought a new one in maybe a year, but for instance right now I have zero left.

My port is full full atm (260 ships) but I still don't feel the urge to spend doubloons on them.

I'll prolly sell some tier III and IV ships to complete my tier VIII - X collection.

Agreed, I also have very few free slots (I have had to sell T5s & rebuy others for coal this year...) just not sure if I would spend dubs on that unless I was a hard core collector and wanted ALL the ships in my port at once?  (not that that would not be cool and a nice objective, I'm just not willing to spend the dubs on it even at 50%...)

384 ships atm with 4 free port slots

 

saving those for the sh*the UK/RU submarines coming up soon to buy them with FXP and NEVER to play them, like I did with the US/KM subs this christmas snowflake event.

I found that I could run out of port slots at the start of my WoWS career.

• I tended to research several tech tree lines at the same time
• Low tier ships are easy to unlock and cheap to purchase
• At that time, low tier ships may not have qualified for the mission that rewarded a port slot (T5 or higher)

 

But, as @Ymustihaveaname, stated I just tended to sell the previous tech tree ship when I unlocked a new one.

So I've rarely had to buy a port slot (if ever).

For me 3 with 203 ships, but looking again I have tech trees 3/4s from German and Brits early access and SC from a mission that I can sell, so I will have 7 with 199 ships. (but I could buy plenty of more researched ships)

225 ships with 6 empty port slots.

I did the same, but slowly buying back all those Tier 1 - Tier 4 ships  when I have calculated for that month that I have spare port slots to put them in. The current RB system is providing 1 extra slot each patch cycle in comparison with the old system.

 

So currently ALL regular tech tree lines are in my port for Tier V - Tier X and waiting for the IJN CL release to work on the Shimano to start with and waiting for the release (early acces?) of the UK/RU submarines to buy them immediately.

 

Maybe I will start buying the Tier XI ships in the far far future if I loose my mind, but with regret as I don't like them combined with those sh*te submarines.

If you desperately need space I´d say its a good offer. Especially when starting out slots quickly fill with ships.

 

That said I recommend NOT to ever buy port slots, as you usually tend to get more and more of them over time. Case in point: I got 312 ships in my port right now, with additional 248 vacant port slots available.

Could be mistaken but I do belive those combined are more then there are ships in the game currently.

According to the Warships Wiki there are currently 594 ships in total in the game, including various reskins. So I´d still be about 34 slots short

Who needs port slots these days. Back in 2016 yes cause there was no other option to obtain them. But now? You get them in the battlepass, 3 per update. For free.
