I don't think it's the main income of WG. It's just an additional one. Gambling like that wasn't a thing in this game until maybe 2020.

I wont disagree on that because i have no years statistics. But lets suppose you are right. WG is only one of the game Companies that offer gamling in game to the extend that this issue bothered many Parliaments in EU . Kidds can easily coppy their parents credit card numbers and no one knows if the person that ticks the box "I am 18 or older" is realy 18 atleast year old! Belgium was the 1st. Spain has that law for about 4 months now for votting but south European countries that suffered most of the EU economical crisis rely on gambling incomes and the have their law eyes closed to that untill they will follow Belgium's example.

2 of the Competition games also SELL items but in them you already know what you are buying and there is no gumble in it. Ofcourse GAME companies need income . In Total War i happen to be a modder for 15 years the last decade they found the easy way to sell DLCs ,that means you buy for the entire game and you re-buy the missing parts. WG makes the same by selling cloned ships but this is not gumbling. But paying an ammount of money without a sure result is like the casinno rullet and EU Parliament prepairs a number of laws that restrics such technics . That is why WG is in a hurry to grab as many money it can before EU Laws came to power.

If Kuznetzov, RB's or Coal are in first bundle. 6k dubloons for Kuznetsov seems to be very good offer. RB's and Coal also seems interesting if someone really needs them.

Got 15k RB's as first bundle but "pass".

no its not, in my bundle Kuznetsov is first, I have Kuznetsov. So, to get him I need to spend 6000 doublons ( to buy Sun tokens). So I will be left with 1500 extra. But I dont have 6000 doublons so it means I have to BUY them to get that extra 1500.

 

Second option is to GAMBLE my way in random bundles in hope of getting at least 30 sun tokens. ONCE again I have to buy doublons to gamble.

 

ONLY and ONLY option that is worth a while is IF you have 6000 doublons right now to spend it on Kuznetsov and get him for free.

 

Its a cash grab no matter how you look at it, gamble one bundles to gamble on another. Worst possible evil ever, and they know it.

Ah, discount on Sun tokens ? How generous ... Where can I buy those for the normal price ? Oh I cannot ... Hmmm ... I am sure WG is aware this practice is illegal in most (if not all) of the EU ? The discounted item has to be available for purchase for the non-discounted price for several weeks before it can be legally discounted.

 

And that's not talking about the questionable but (unfortunately) still legal gambling.

Hmm this seems more like players have the greed issue here, not the company. 

 

One could argue the company has an intense and selfish (ehhhhhh well not sure a company can be "selfish" like that but ohh well, semantics) desire for something, usually wealth. But here I would rather argue that the players have an intense and selfish desire for the items, but don't want to pay a dime for them, they want to be able to guarantee the pick of the next card in black jack or to always know the numbers on the roulette table before they place their "bets".

 

You have a choice, buy or don't buy. If you cannot make that choice, seek help, because blaming others for your lack of self control is probably the most stupid I ever hear people claim. But for gods sake , make everything as inoffensive as possible and we can drop all games all together, at least online ones, because there's always some that need things they "cannot" get for free or that require effort they do NOT want to invest (but still want it) and as such argue that it is unfair, greedy, corporate hoax or whatever. Good entertainment they provide. 

 

Enough venting, just my 47 cents.

 

Happy Christmas. Don't spend a dime in the game unless you want to, but don't blame anyone for YOUR actions if you do!.

They can just remove the gambling from the game. Nothing will happen. They sell not only random stuff.

You bought 25 tokens for 1500 gold, and then you SPENT 5 tokens ON SILVER, and did not buy more tokens.

That's why I wrote about first package. If someone didn't have Kuznetsov then consdering 6k dubloons for good commander is ok deal. We can present this as 6k of dubloons for 175k of coal worth content. 

 

I have all Coal Commanders and have 0 intention of any spendings on this gamble.

 

If anybody participates in this gamble crapshow beyond this case is out of mind or have very big income for spending on such things.

A 2nd C*ntnetsov would be temping. I could have one specced for CAs and gun-DDs and the 2nd for CLs and hybrid-DDs.

but I'm not that lucky.

Now I am certainly not shy about spending money on WoWS over christmas, but compared to the Satan boxes and the recent doubloon chain, this Sunlit Fair seems to offer ridiculously low rewards for ridiculously high prices. Or am I missing something?
