Hi all,

 

New low point in player base behavior... reporting enemy for winning in 1 vs. 1 BB brawl...

 

I mean there used to be friendly chat in 1 vs.1  brawl and compliments were exchanged regardless of the outcome... but this... -2 karma in 8 victories...

Ahm... this is matter of principle and general politeness... this is a game for people to relax and should be friendly environment... you win one... you lose one... it shouldn't matter for someone to be that angry to report the opposite player just for losing... I mean really...

Yep losing karma when you win at brawls, play a sub, play a CV, get a kraken, bully a BB with a DD or ignore an idiot spamming chat that's requesting support when he's sniping from as far back as the map can go... is normal...

Last I checked we can't raise random people on their etiquette levels. Some people are immature and can't handle things. It happens, always has, always will. It's called humanity, the sad part of it.

I find it noteworthy that you still notice losing karma. You should play more submersible scum, that makes it all go away very, very quickly.

Since subs were introduced the player base is a lot more toxic, like they've got hooked on reporting someone for anything.

Yeah, you're right, some people have become more toxic from their personal disillusionments. But I don't think it's the people in BB vs BB Brawls.

It seems much more prevalent now. Eg because someone didn't enjoy a match, for what ever minuscule reason, will get you a report.

Prior to subs that was rarely a thing, certainly in PvE.

Now it's pick a lottery of "guess the reason for being reported".

I've currently got three T8 BBs.

 

Odin

V. Veneto

Monarch doesn't have a captain atm, so it's not viable.

 

Odin is hit and miss. 9/15 wins, mostly because you're pretty much against the same ship as yourself.

 

Veneto is at 2/3 atm. And the first one I made a little booboo by getting too close to a Tirpitz allowing it to torp and popping the smoke before detecting the Tirpitz (that gives you a free extra SAP salvo at first round if you use it right, while the smoke stops their secondaries while you're reloading still undetected - with spotter plane active you can line up your second shot and prepare for a kite run). But if you just ignore the cap and stay at a slight angle that just/just doesn't show your third turret you can SAP-only German and US BBs for 12-18K per volley. If you're lucky taking out some turrets along the way. I think it's generally more reliable than the German ships, since you need to get into torp range with those.

Would love to see Gascogne work though. Champaine ill wisely avoid in brawls.

Though vangaurd might work with its fast reload. But then you might as well just play bismarck

Well, I was farming snowflakes in Co-op the last couple of days, like so many others too, and got 6 or 7 reported on that way. People get mad playing against bots to the point that they have the urge to report teammates. Oh well, it's WoWs, nothing surprises anymore.

IIRC I got reported just 1-2 times in CoOp... God knows why are some people so angry even in such relaxed game mode...

It is pretty pathetic to report someone for loosing in a one on one duel but sadly there are a lot of petty people out there. 
 

Still until my karma becomes worth something it really doesn’t bother me.

Entitlement issues, thinking you're killstealing (in a team game...) that sort of thing. Nothing new sadly. :/

 

Similarly, likely some players are upset you're using a certain type of ship that holds an advantage over them (particularly when it is automated)... Like any German BB in this mode. But of course, they don't notice they are the ones sailing into torps.

 

 

 

 

That said, Zieten got me with one torp for 39K in my Veneto and it wasn't an ammorack apparently (didn't get the notification anyway). O.o' Shame, was beating it and thought I could take a 14K torp to the side to maintain my good angle for bouncing shells and getting just a few more volleys in for the kill.

Golg ranked, there was a CV in battle, dude just said I dont wanna play when there is CV in game and went to suicide. WHAT to say to that kind of players? I have to lose battles beacouse some shmuck has issues. If you hate CVs if you hate subs, DONT play the game and leave, there is a million games out there.

This was just an example of player base.

So while there is a button to complain anybody can do it anytime they want to do it and there is nothing you can do about it.

They probably reported you to make them feel a little better after losing.

 

Last night dude screamed in the chat to report me just beacouse I outplayed him, but to him that was cheating and he needed something to make him feel better report has that kind of effect on people.

But lets be honest when you report someone, nothing will happen, nothing ever happens.

Torpedoes, hydro, brawl-capable citadel, not an issue with accuracy at range and good secondaries. Of course German BBs are the best choice. Some people just don't like that when they bring say a Kansas to a brawl (who does that!?) and your Odin sets them on triple fire and then finishes them off with some torps juuuuust as they were about to finally reload...

No I don't, I ran main battery on most germains until I got back into doing sub par memeery and made anhalt a secondary ship.

Then forgetting I already had a secondary captain during that free respec season so now I can only play secondary 21p commanders. 

 

Aside from that Everyone always memes germains bad boo not good.

Meanwhile most germain bbs that I get to face had more food for thought for breakfast and thus outplayme.

Insane gamplay. Hurdur I rush at you hahaha drop torps, you are dead.

But in randoms they always run away. Stop making up your mind. Do  the same thing everytime. Be consistent

At range they're bad. Getting into short range without being burned out already is hard for a lot of players. And in some cases getting close means getting into a crossfire of doom. 1 on 1 the yolo rush practice is vastly more viable. In Ranked secondary builds also work, but take a little more positioning practice due to DDs being present. In Randoms there's way more threats, including Satsuma's on the other end of the map these days. So is it really any wonder they opt to stay too far away when they don't have the confidence and skill to pull off a Bismarck's or Odin's way of playing.

 

But have you considered what it says about your state of mind that you expect people to treat a 1v1 <10km the same as a 12v12 >32km with CV, DD and HE/DT cruisers?

So... just a quick question, why do you let them get that close? In Veneto they have to work fairly hard to get close enough to torp me (have had it where a Zieten kept closing in on my butt all the way down to 2km and still couldn't get a torp angle on me as I angled away every time it made an attempt to torp). With Odin they have to risk getting torped themselves first.

 

Remember even if they have the zones, the one who kills the other first wins regardless of points after all (unless it's a ram, then having had points from cap matters for the win).
