Now I only report very selfish play when it works against the objectives, or chat abuse and AFK. Otherwise I accept people are maybe inexperienced, have a bad day or whatever ... that doesn't make them "bad players" in an absolute sense, and I don't report them as such. Giving compliments I really feel is easy and makes you feel good. There are many micro-plays you can observe, which are so tight, you would be proud yourself pulling it off, and then I often compliment rightaway regardless the final match outcome. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You can lose karma in a lot more cases than you win it. The average player of wows doesn't understand the game - the prerequisite of analyzing the play and seeing good effort from the teammate. Average player sucks, and at the moment of death or loss he'll try to find who to blame. And since average players suck, the good players might also throw around reports if they get steamrolled with half a team doing nothing (like half the team below 600 XP in loss).
