He’s a teacher, it’s a real job, as far as I know.

Smolensk had 32mm pen with IFHE, before the rework.

I don’t know if the title was changed, but currently it’s top 5 ships…, not top 5 premiums…

He uses clickbaity titles, if you make videos daily and want some revenue for your effort then you must do it. I usually just check which ships he mentions in his top 5 videos, without watching them. I like his ship reviews, though. He’s not on pair with the best players, but his review’s are honest compared to the likes of Flamu.

1. True, but it crosses 27mm making it good against a couple of heavy cruisers.

2. Enterprise was nerfed, I don’t have her, but the global rocket and bomb nerfs effected her.

Smolensk is still having 27mm pen with IFHE. Losing 1mm of pen after IFHE rework literally means nothing to Smolensk,  as you either pen 27mm or not, and Smol do. IFHE rework impacted Smols fire starting chance as, unlike what LM said in his video, previously, due caliber, Smol fire chance dropped only for 1%, from 8% to 7%, while now it drops for half to 4%.

 

Armour changes on the other side, which went together with IFHE rework, had more impact as Smol lost its 30mm deck and upper belt, which are now reduced to 16mm. This mean Smol can not more bounce BB AP shells on her deck or shatter DD HE shells, which means it is now eating more damage by default.

Making a factual error is not dishonesty. Dishonesty is when you know that something is not true (like saying a ship is OP, when in fact not) but you say the opposite to create negative hype to boost your view counts.

 

He’s a (mostly German brawling) BB main, and definetly views the game from his perspective.

For me the biggest nerfs were that you cannot set BBs on fire while wrecking cruisers at the same time. You also lost some DPM if you want reasonable range, because of the removal of the extended range captain skill. Now you have to use the sixth upgrade slot for range, instead of DPM. Also you can no longer build for extreme range. From the other perspective, when you’re in a BB, you no longer have to load HE to deal with a Smolensk, allowing you to use AP on other targets and switch to Smolensk when she gets spotted.

People usually used range upgrade instead of reaload, as having 19km range was more useful as DPM was already good and you could increase it with BFT. Loss of access to BFT was somewhat compensated with Heavy HE and SAP, which give almost the same HE DPM as before but now there is no way to increase AP DPM without using reload upgrade. 

 

Smolensk was beyond stupid when added, and it is just showing how idiotic design it was when after all those changes it is still good. Similar like Petro, which, after 4 or 5 straight nerfs, is still strong, and regularly on ban list from some competitions.
