Bounty Rewards

So, I volunteered to be a "bounty" ship this weekend - it was quite fun on the whole however the bounty missions themselves (play 60 games) whilst pretty easy to complete - are time consuming, you get targeted a lot more and generally die faster as everyone tries to get the coal, but thats what I signed up for beforehand so its understandable.

 

The issue I have is the level of reward for being a bounty ship - if I was grinding ships, completing other missions - staying alive and getting points, upgrading commanders, etc I would have got far more "in game" rewards than the few containers that you get (2 mega, 2 or 2 normal and a load of signals and economic boosts).

 

From a quick tally I reckon you get 5000 Doubloons of items for literally hours of gameplay and many many deaths - yes, some of the games were good, but most consisted of "Detected" - 12 ships of barrels traversing and death

 

SO, to complete all 60 bounty games I think it took me 4  hours on Friday, 4 Hours Saturday AM, 8 Hours Saturday night and 2 hours this morning - thats 18 hours for £13.86 - £0.77 an hour.

 

The rewards were NOT told to us in advance so once we had signed up we had to make the most of it and try and get some enjoyable games amongst the excessive targetting.

 

Come on WOW - please give the bounty players SOMETHING worth their time, because at the moment you are paying way less than national minimum wage for us to be massacred :)

 

Oh, and good job all those that killed me - I think I managed to survive maybe 10 games overall (Although I did use every ship in my account and some of them are dubious).

I wanted to be a bounty but I wasn't selected. At least I wasn't in need to grind  anything having all techtree ships available. Just play 60 battles, pretty easy for me. For simply playing I would get a lot more than normally, and it's not that hard of you know what to play, take BBs that are good at camping (Slava, Champagne, Satsuma, Conqueror) cruisers like Kutuzov, DDs like LU Harugumo or LU Kleber. Jinan is a good choice too. So they push into you and you just sit back and farm. It would be a challenge but an interesting one.

Too bad I wasn't picked but well, can't have control over that.

I have completed all the bounty target missions, only using each shup once and still have the target on with more ships to play, so far survived at least 20% of the matches, not seen that many other players with the target, must games (at least 80%) I was the only bounty target

I saw a Bounty player yesterday in a random battle for tier - X ships, noone killed him...

Bounty players should cost the anount of 0.30 cents of euros per hour and that's it.

I think I met 3 or 4 bounties, I killed 2 of them, the first one by mistake. :)) I only realized he was a bounty when at the end screen I said hey, what's this new achivement icon. :))

While playing the bounty you get all other rewards, you can grind and you can literally do everything else you would anyway do, and you get some extra for it. Yes you get focused a bit more, especially CVs, but I did not experienced anything out of the ordinary. here is my last week. Bounty event the weekend 60 battles. It is a lower WR as weekend is always lower. appr. 50% survival rate. The only thing is the higher number of planes shot down, but CV focusing me helped the teams in general. And I expected that so they were ships with decent AA.

It took me 18 hours as well. But don't charge for playing games. It is entertainment not a job. And during that 18 hours you and me just did what we would have done anyway, and we got some extra for it. Not too much more, I give you that, but if the event is not on, you would get even less. Hopefully you don't play video games because you feel obliged to. And I do not really feel I would get more ingame rewards playing without the bounty marker on.

Sorry, I disagree.  I was a bounty and completed the 60 missions whilst only playing Friday and Sunday afternoon.  Yes it was a slog to complete within that limited time, but I was also clearing snowflakes so something I was going to do anyway.  On the whole I liked the event and to be honest, rarely noticed that being a bounty increased the incoming fire.  I got Gremy from my last Santa Container too so all in all, very happy.

Either MM hated me or you guys were the only “bounty’s” playing over Saturday and Sunday as I only encountered 1 bounty in both evenings.
