Tier by tier in randoms starting from the bottom (leaving best for last ;)), often dust off older ships regardless if premium or tech tree, just for variety and to see if I can perform in them. Any extra certificates from good battles are used for any ships that I do not want to play.

Best idea is probably to play ranked for the T5 ships (that one probably has enough of) thus getting some additional base xp and with that vouchers for ships that one does not want to play (e.g. most tech tree T9s or CVs in my case) and gaining some extra steel and dubs if proficient enough to win. And ranked is also faster and more fun than random matches. T6/7/8 can be done in random because that is still (some) fun. Afterwards one should have enough vouchers to get the flakes from the ships one has not played.

I used to knock off snowflakes in coop because it was fast but with the possibility to get more than one depending on base experience I switched to random battles. I start with T5, working upwards and using the bonuses from T11 downwards.

Down from tier X (don’t have superships). Random if ship has decent captain, coop otherwise.

TX first. Only randoms. Randomly picking I play only those ships that I fancy at the moment and overall enjoy to play and then I use extra certificates on ships that I don't like. I don't care if I'll get all lower tiers snowflakes after collecting all T10s so I will not try hard or slave like a moron all December. Still probably will knock most if not all with certificates which are great idea WG. Thanks for thinking for a change.

Had initially 439 ships eligible for snowflakes just 53 left, 95% done in random operations rest in co-op, expect to be done tomorrow. Strategi from go through all Tier VIII in random ops starting with cruisers then CV's and Tier VII and VIII BB's, this way I'll run out of snowflakes before I run out of ships to play. additional snowflakes was used to clear first super ships and Tier X and IX in that order, Then I cleared from V upwards. Think this is the fasted way, I would had to use a whole day just clearing T-X in co-op, it literally took 5 hours in random ops to clear super ships and Tier X

More or less the usual routine:

  • I pick a ship I'm in the mood for and play her in Randoms/Ranked until I get a win or a "satisfying loss", even if the rewards are collected earlier
  • Tier 7s have priority because I can play them in Ranked
  • RB regrinds have priority
  • new ships (Tromp for coal, others from the Santa boxes) also have priority
  • ships with an élite captain have priority, especially premiums
  • mid-tier ships have priority, as I don't play them normally but it's nice to make an exception, since they count just the same
  • CVs have reverse-priority

I do not quite get the process described here where I get "extra" which then are used to dust off other ship´s snowflakes. Where do I see these "extras" and where do I have to press in order to use these to free other non played ships?

Thanks

Tier 10's first, then t8 & 9. If i have time left then the lower tiers. And i use the rewards to unlock the CV's and subs so i dont have to suffer trough them.

It's the REWARDS tab on the left hand side.

That will list what ships that still have a snowflake on them.

You can then select which ones you want to claim the reward on, without playing them.

Yesterday I finished to knock down the snowflakes from all my ships. The reward solution is a really great one.

If you have enough ships in port, you can get them by passing a certain base xp threshold. Depending on how many ships you have, you will get several of those. At 200 ships, for example, you will get one extra for doing over 400 base xp. Or two extra for going over 800 base xp. Edit: Only when you remove the snowflake off a ship, of course.

As for where to see how many you have and how to use them, I refer to NewHorizons perfect explanation:
