Dockyard Schrode worth to buy at 5000 dblns?

Dockyard main ships i skipped so far : the first Payto Rico, then Hizen. This gonna be the 3rd. Gonna be happy with the Renown 44. WG can buff it later, but that  still wont convince me, why to pay for it when there is a free ship for the same role, in the same tier, in the same nation, with better characteristics.

I skipped all except Odin, which I regret strongly, though she is somewhat redeemed now with tier 8 operations.

Payed 10k. I find the missions to be a bit grindy at the end and  - money < time - . That and getting Renown 44 earlier opens up another grind earlier ( yeh it’s a contradiction regarding wanting less grind). 
 

But only spending 10k doubloons ( out of earlier PR compensation) will make this the most cheapest WG Xmas ever. No need to buy another ship to open up missions etc..No Satan crates..

 

But 10k for a Xmas with 80% change to end up with atleast one T8+premium from snowflake mega Satan crates, a T9 ( Schröder), a T7 Renown 44), 2 T10 coal ships plus ( the silvercompensation ) for Dido/ Canarias. .

I like the Schroder so far. Its armor is good for a cruiser, feels almost like a battleship at times; her main guns, while a bit difficult to work with, can produce workable results; especially when using engine boost Schroder is very fast; concealment is excellent; solid AA; the secondary battery is a beast.

 

This ship alone is well worth the 5k dubs you need as a minimum to get it. As for the other rewards... I pulled 1 premium ship (Toulon) from the containers you get as a reward in the dockyard stages. And as has been stated numerous times, stage 19 gives you Renown 44, which is also a good ship.

 

Everyone is free to decide if they wanna play and or invest in this dockyard - but I can honestly say: its good value. That is, fof course, if 1.) you are at least somewhat interested in especially the offered ships and 2.) if you aren´t a total grinch. Because even if you don´t spend any money and thus skip the final 4 rewards you still get a lot of good stuff along the way if you just do the missions week by week.

D7P is more than fun tbh. Best dockyard ship for me so far.

I'll likely skip this dockyard also. I've decided that I'm only partaking in the grind with paying when the ship is historical and/or fills a niche in my fleet and/or is interesting. So I got myself the D7P to have a Netherlands premium (niche - did not want to trade my Friesland in, interesting vessel), the Atlântico (historical) and the new Puerto Rico (niche and T10 crate economics).

Depending on the doubloon income out of crates, I may still consume 5000 of them, but having Ägir means the "wanna have" drive is LOW.

il pay the dubs, still got 30k dubs witch i got from the game (ranked) and supercontainers. 

 

so i will partake for the cheapest step(5k dubs) hopefully the santacrates give me more dubs. 

 

#havent put money into wows in 3 years

Enough T10 in port for 12 mega Santa crates. That will give me 80% change on a T8+ ship ( since all lower ships are already in port) plus the snowflakes from all T5-T7 silver and premium ships ( +10% clanbonus) should give me enough coal to buy 2 T10 DD’s ( with coupon+ current coal stock). And in januari there will be a mission chain that will result in a free Dido or Canarias.

My option is that Schroder need buff to become competitive fun to play. Since it don't have torpedoes  which is common to German CL

 

I suggest ONE of this buffs to Schroder + remove of engine boost consumable  

 

1. reduce reload time of main guns from 18 sec to 15 sec

2. add reload booster consumable   

3. add smoke screen consumable   

 

Also some Cpt skill rework for CL to add Manual Secondary Battery Aiming will make Schroder very fun to play!
