that's all well and good, but when drops fail to arrive, and people having to send tickets in to have these things resolved, it's a failed event in my eyes, i know atleast 5 people that waited a whole week before their codes actually worked, 1 of them had to send a ticket to get it fixed.

That's weird. I dealt to hundreds of users those collected codes (Discord/Facebook) and noone gave me that feedback.

I still have one window without a light on just about the door of the house which states "can be collected after 5/1/23" or something to that effect and I entered all the codes featured throughout this forum.

 

Overall it's a pretty dumb "event" being frank about it. Players have to keep track of it, it's hard to know if there was possibly one code missed even after entering every bloody code that popped up in the WoWS portal and posted on the forum. It required obtaining codes from 3rd party social media sites which imho is just complete bs but overall what makes it an utter waste of time is the reward. For all of that, we pick up little token buffs and camos for each code but the main reward is just a crappy 6 point Santa commander amidst an event where we can exchange tokens for lots of 10 point Santa's.

 

Surely it needed to be at least a 10 point commander too, and also maybe a Super Container or Christmas crates. At least that would justify worth bothering with it. As it stands, I idiotically did follow it, and still have one window incomplete.

Right. So the final window to complete the mission has become available as suggested so I guess the ability to complete this mission is possible now but it says we(or maybe just me and a few others) have to participate in some Dido and Dumdum mission or something like that which I guess becomes available at some time soon.

After claiming the last window just open the game so that the reward registers, close it and now the door should be available.

I have this same problem.

 

All tasks completed, all codes activated, but front door does not light up to claim him.

 

Yes, I completed the first mission requirement of the Dido/Canarias chain.

I even have a Commonwealth ship in my port for him (Perth).

 

But even logging out of game completely and back in, still does not light up the door so I can collect him.

 

On NA server it worked this morning. 

EU server, no.

Did you try clearing the cache before logging back in?

 

Unlikely and I'd guess this is a WG hiccup on account of the fact there's no money to be made from this free little commander thingy so get's pushed down the order of WG's priorities and functionality checks.

Always 1st step in troubleshooting when game screws up.

 

Even ran extra missions, including with Canarias from last year, because sometimes it takes A WHILE for game to register when we completed certain mission requirements for these things that are not directly a mission chain.

 

Lazy intern didn't hit Enter key to turn on "Collect Pirate Santa" option before leaving work....?

You have to complete the Dido/Canarias mission and pick one of the ships and the mission is under common mission @BobcatNobaru

Doesn't say you have to complete the entire mission chain, only the first part (4 Victories).

No. You are not right. No action helps to get this commander. Restarting the game, Restoring the game, restarting Windows - all to no avail. You can't get a commander.

Hi. I had the Same problem with claiming the final gift (captain)

 

Try opening a private browser session. Log in there. Worked this way.  (probably cache/cookie related then)

Yes, I am right, because I could claim the pirate after the restart instant. Deleting the cache and using a private browser didn't help me, and my ticket wasn't answered. It is sad if you have problems. Mine solved.
